Ok, tried out the rest of the games I own that are Pro compatible:
Last of Us - Looks fantastic. At 4k/30fps the visuals are insane and only barely can you still see the last generation roots (mostly character models), at 1800p/60fps feels great and still looks great. Nice upgrade.
Uncharted 4 - Very nice upgrade on an already gorgeous game at 1440p/30fps and real 1080p/60fps for MP (this feels big compared to how blurry/soft I remember 900p MP being). If they can get more mileage out of the Pro by the time the SP DLC campaign comes out, it'll be amazing
Infamous SS - Pretty good, wish 60fps mode could maintain because when it's 60fps it's great but too unstable and can't quite pull it off. 4k/30fps mode sure looks nice though. I think I find unlocked unstable 60fps worse than 30fps even though that 60fps goodness is nice when you get it.
Knack - This sucks and I like the game. The high frame rate mode is nowhere near 60fps on some of the stage I tried and feels really bad, the high definition mode looks nice but either this has frame pacing issues or is under 30fps because it feels like 25 fps.
Tried a bunch of non-patched PS4 games and they all seem to run fine, which is good. Also loading is improved on all games because the hard drive is faster than the OG. I read somewhere Bloodborne went from 31 seconds load in Central Yarhnam (was like 48 before the old patch to speed up loads) to 18 seconds with stock on both OG PS4 and PS4 Pro. SSD doesn't add much and only brings that 18 seconds down to something like 15 seconds.
Have Ratchet lent out to a friend so will try that when I get it back. It's suppose to look amazing. Overall after trying more stuff, I'm moderately impressed and if they can just patch World of FF to fix the broken visuals I'll be satisfied. Some games look a lot nicer, some games a little nicer, and some games you can tell the patch was just thrown together quickly. I'm hoping once we get past winter and devs can plan for Pro version while in development we'll start seeing more polished nice looking, nice running Pro upgraded versions.
Also my plasma is older and doesn't support HDR. People are raving HARD right now about HDR greatly visually improving all these games. Tempting me to get a set that supports HDR at some point, but afaik there still isn't a really great replacement for the top quality plasmas in terms of image quality and black level.
