Dallas County Elections Administrator Toni Pippins-Poole discovered her office did not count about 10% of the ballots that voters cast on Super Tuesday.

She is now asking a court to let her conduct a manual recount of votes, after she discovered thumb drives containing ballots from 44 precincts that were not included in the final results.

It’s uncertain which 44 precincts are involved, how many votes are at issue, and whether the apparent winners from any races will change. Still, the 44 precincts represent almost 10% of the total precincts on Super Tuesday.

Hey guyz, I have a thought on Hillary's e-mails. How many of those e-mails do you think were like Bed, Bath and Beyond coupons? That's easily 15,000 or so right there.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/hillary-clinton-says-email-scandal-apology-was-against-my-better-judgment

Quote
Hillary Clinton said she gave a false apology for her use of an unauthorized email server during her time as secretary of state.

"We'll just say what you did was a mistake. It was dumb. It's over. And that will end it," Clinton said in the Hulu documentary released Friday, Hillary, about her life. "I wasn't convinced of that. But I understood the frustration of my campaign."

"So against my better judgment, I said, 'OK, fine,'" she said about giving a series of interviews which led to an apology on ABC News.

"As I look back at it now, even though it was allowed, I should have used two accounts. That was a mistake. I’m sorry about that. I take responsibility," Clinton said in the September 2015 interview.

"It turned out to be a mistake because look at all the oxygen it was sucking out of my campaign. But it didn't end it," the former secretary of state said in the Hulu documentary about the criticism she received over her emails. "It didn't end it at all. And it never ended, it never ended."

Cathartic to some degree. I was pissed when she apologized, because she did nothing wrong wrt the email server and had nothing to apologize for.

Jesus Christ you are dumb. She had a homebrew email server in her house that had classified shit pass through it. She then deleted over 30,000 emails after a subpoena. The email archive was deleted and bleachbit was used to avoid recovering anything.

'She did nothing wrong' . . .  fuck off.

None of what Clinton did with her email server was wrong in any way. Legally or ethically. It's irrelevant whether classified passed through a private server or a state .gov server. Same situation legally. Neither one is a classified channel, so you're talking about leakage, which happens and is not criminal when it happens.

It was perfectly fine to delete 30k personal emails. It's allowed.

You may have a decent hog, but you're not really a thinker. Pipe down on this one.

I'd really prefer to not post again about HRC, but by God if you make me...

Does it mean that much to you to deny there was malfeasance?

She could've pushed Obama to live up to his election platform to end the wars and close gitmo....

Instead she put her bandwagon behind a plan to take out Qaddafi and try to topple Assad using radical Islamists which in turn created the biggest refugee crisis in recent history and flooded the region with arms.
But hey, SHE CAME, SHE SAW, HE DIED!!!! woooo HILLDAWG!! AAWOOOOO
I'm sure the people of Libya and Syria agree Hillary did nothing wrong and it made her look pretty bad ass.

She said herself she shouldn't have done it.

We now know what there are only unwritten rules when it comes to anything in the executive branch, so yea I guess it was a-ok she was doing dumb shit like that.

Yes, the whole point of her quote in the Hulu doc is that she said that while not actually meaning it. As well she shouldn't have, as she did nothing wrong.

Stop replying to this.

I guess the DNC saw what didn't work with the pied piper on trump and have fined tuned it for Bernie.

It's impressive actually. That entire run of "biden is down and out" while leaning back and letting the revolution collapse on itself.

I'm an attempt to get Bernie on voting on the crime bill, Joy Reid tried to make insinuate that the crime bill must have been a good bill because  Fazid was making the case that the bill was written in a way to trap votes.

:lol

It means a lot, because it's the story of 2015-16. A very minor story was elevated into the most important political issue of the generation, which paved the way for an ignorant reality show host with a history of sexual predation to become the US president.

The fact is, no one can point to concrete reasons why there was malfeasance. No charges were ever filed against a single person. No one was fired from the State Department. No one lost a security clearance. The things that happen if there is actual wrongdoing have happened.

Here is a good write-up on the subject from someone who gets paid to do this:
https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2016/11/4/13500018/clinton-email-scandal-bullshit

It also means a lot if you care about justice and the rule of law.

The people who have an emotional attachment to the idea that there was/wasn't wrongdoing are the hardcore Sanders cultists like Timu, because their worldview depends on the evil bitch who dared to defeat Sanders deserving to lose 2016. They need it for catharsis. If the evil bitch who dared to run against Sanders and win actually got fucked over by the greatest media malpractice in history and a career Republican FBI director who allowed an investigation that was never going to result in charges to run for a year, the worldview collapses. It's incredibly selfish on their part, and I have to put in effort to separate my appreciation for Sanders the man from the vileness of his worst supporters.

She was running government work through her personal server, in an administration when Obama didn't even have a personal Blackberry.

It was stupid as fuck.

Quote from: vox article
. As the State Department inspector general concluded in its report on Clinton’s conduct, the guideline Clinton violated was a principle that “normal day-to-day operations should be conducted on an authorized Automated Information System.”

By all rights no one should care what she thinks and she should have retired from public life.

But no. She doesn't disappear. She and her fans don't own up to her historic loss. Didn't even step inside Michigan. We never hear from Gore. Presidential candidates that lose generally move on to do something productive. Not Hillary.

Even after 2016 she makes me hate her even more. It's ridiculous.

Joe Biden is already calling on people to vote for Donald Trump 8 months before the vote.   :lol

https://twitter.com/townhallcom/status/1236444332124778497

Compare Trump's Fox News Town Hall to this blubbering mess and tell me what the fuck are the Democrats thinking  :doge
What are the chances of this just Biden being Biden and we're all just being ghoulish like Republicans smearing Hillary's health?

That video looks so bad and makes me sad.

I watched the full speech to see how unfair these videos are... and they are pretty unfair...

However, he still ain’t looking so hot. His stump speech is very much just simple platitudes with simple language, and he still seems to be having trouble with it. It’s like his staff is aware of his limitations, and is trying to tailor the content to something he can handle. In that 7 minutes, 2-3 minutes of it his just him thanking local politicians, and saying “it’s great to be in St Louis”. A lot of it he’s stumbling over the words so much it is difficult to tell what he is saying. Trump, imo, is more consistently lucid-sounding.

The differences between now and 2012 are stark, imo. He went from eloquent to not eloquent, and he stumbles over his words a lot.

Maybe it’s just his stutter, but it looks really bad. I’m definitely going to watch the next debate because the man is going to have to speak a fair amount and actually think on his feet.

To be fair, it's true that there's not a lot his staff can do to dispel that impression except having Biden out. The clips I've seen have been as concerning as the Trump ones, if not more, but I'm willing to concede I don't know Biden enough to affirm without a doubt he's going senile for real or if it's just a very unfair, selective sample.

Can't even muster up the slightest bit of outrage over what was done to her wrt emails. Useless. You guys did Republicans' work for them. Roger Ailes thanks you from hell. Putin thanks you from Moscow.

I didn't care for John Kerry much at all, but I still feel rage when I think of Swiftboating. I never sat back and said shit like, "Herp a derp, Kerry deserved it, should have dropped out and let Dean run!"

The American left is so fucking useless in every way.

I cared about her emails at the time. I was also mad at Bernie for staying in the race too fucking long. Stumpokapow lost his shit at me about it on gaf. I thought the emails thing incredibly sexist and juvenile. However, it was four years ago. I don't have anymore anger about it. I hate Hillary and yet still voted for her ass. I don't know what more you want from me. I'm not going to give her kudos for being a shit flinger and making people hate her even more by making damaging comments, refusing to own up to her loss, and overall just not disappearing.

I think that if Biden performs OK in the next debate a lot of people will be ready to wrap it up and start looking to the future.  Bernie's one chance at this point is an upset in Michigan and it being confirmed that Biden really does have dementia.

Yeah, I think a lot of Dems are ready to just turn all their fire against Trump. An older relative of mine was really happy after Nevada, because it looked like things were finally consolidating around a front-runner. Which I guess was true, just not in the way it looked.

If Biden is the nominee part of pitch will be to point out that Sanders first did well after 8 years of Obama.  Part of the refusal to vote for Biden feels like a belief that things getting worse would make Bernie's revolution more likely than a moderate dem and that just isn't true.

The establishment democrats might not want to blow up insurance and pharmaceutical companies, but there actually is widespread support throughout the party for making voting easier.  Maybe youth turnout would be better if you didn't have to register weeks before the primary.

One the barriers to creating safety nets is resentment between groups and getting a demagogue out of power would have to help with that at least a little.

If a public option is created it would weaken insurance companies, at least a little.

Basically the unspoken accelerationism of refusing to vote for Biden is really dumb.

My one concern is what would happen in a Biden presidency where he's being bossed around by a Republican congress.

Yup, the worst deals that recent Dem presidents have been open to (Clinton signing welfare reform and Obama pursuing a "grand bargain") happened after getting crushed in the midterms. Years 3 and 4 of a Biden presidency would be the real danger zone.

First time I seen NBC proper just puts the entire ep of Meet the Press on their youtube channel. Usually, it's only CBS that puts their full sunday show (Face the Nation) up on youtube and its usually in segments.

It doesn't matter anymore, We're all dead in like two weeks, just like that, magic, down to zero,

Oh yeah, that’s stupid, she didn’t lose because of the emails or Comey. No one was persuaded by that. Move on — as it was then, you are the one overly focused on it.

Please don’t hurt yourself or anyone when Biden loses tho, k? (To Trump I mean)

Cats, you know I like you personally, but if you're denying that email coverage was a dominant factor in the 2016 election, should you really be betting money on politics?

It's easy to move on. People can stop feeling like they're contractually obligated to type up dumb counterarguments when someone says something decent about evil pantsuit lady.

I think your initial argument on the situation is correct, anyone with a modicum of intelligence could see the email thing was a stupid distraction. No one who would have voted for her otherwise would have been persuaded by it. I believe you are the one using the situation to patch over the distance between your belief that she was good candidate and the fact that she lost. It was not the dominant factor. The Clinton mythos was.

I didn’t say it wasn’t a big story, whose mind did that change? I’m just not buying this trump voter who said “ I love everything about Hillary but this email thing, well it has me going to the red hat store, let me tell ya”

After they squeezed out the Access Hollywood Tape and Trump was a zombie candidate they indeed looked for something else to broadcast.
But it was just one of the many things going on in that shit show of an election. I don't think it changed a lot of votes.
You weren't suddenly dropping your support for Clinton in favor of Trump because of those emails.

Okay, thanks for explaining a basic concept to me and being condescending, you’ve not changed my mind that that situation was more dominant than people either a) not liking her personally b) being mad they didn’t get Bernie c) not being willing to vote for a woman d) being patently opposed to her foreign policy history, etc etc etc

I don't know, if you're hanging your hat that Hillary is corrupt, the email thing is more incompetence than anything. A lot of people have to deal with making sure their work product is confidential. Seeing an old person not pretending to even try to protect her shit is I think people are familiar with. Now, that doesn't mean she gets a pass on it, but if anything, that's more understandable.

The James Comey thing going "Uh, Hillary is under investigation, fuck I don't want to announce this" hurt her more because having the head of the FBI who is supposed to be neutral fuck you over like that was astounding at the time. Even then it may have turn what a blow out victory for Hillary into more of a toss up.

We didn't understand at the time just how much Hillary wasn't campaigning in battleground states until people started talking about it. That 2016 Hillary campaign was just a perfect storm of bad luck, undesirable events, and internal incompetence.
