In a perfect world, Biden *would* choose Sanders as VP. That’s how you unite a party.
Listening to young people explain why they won't vote for Biden is terrible. "He's for corporations" lol

Trump dead before the end of the month who will take that bet

I'm reading this Sanders Buzzfeed articleQuoteSeveral figures in Warren’s circle balked at the outreach effort — Sanders and his aides, they said, had months to lay the groundwork for that kind of partnership, but only did so this week from a position of desperation. About a month ago, when it was clear that Warren had little chance to win, one person inside the campaign said they put out feelers to Sanders’ operation in an attempt to create new lines of communication. At the time, senior Sanders officials showed little interest, the person said, in reciprocating.and BRUH YOU MORONS

Maybe it's true but not really overwhelming evidence.
But there’s an even deeper tragedy at play, beyond the meagerness of the new benefits. The true embarrassment is that it took a pandemic for leaders to realize that the health of the American work force is important to the strength of the nation.
It is not yet clear how well the American system will respond, but the early signs are far from encouraging. What we’re learning is that our society might be far more brittle than we had once imagined. The virus has laid bare our greatest vulnerability: We’ve got the world’s biggest economy and the world’s strongest military, but it turns out we might have built the entire edifice upon layers and layers of unaccounted-for risk, because we forgot to assign a value to the true measure of a nation’s success — the well-being of its population.

This is an awful speech. I laid out an actual plan and spoke about what I would do if I was currently president. I also outlined the failings of the current administration in its handling of this pandemic. I didn’t go on and on about feeling alone and caring about our neighbors.

Why the fuck would you demand emergency funding from the government for paid leave for families? Demand the companies take care of their employees. That’s your whole fucking gimmick.

That’s your whole fucking gimmick.Even if companies were in the habit of doing the decent thing and giving people sick pay, the scale of this would still be a shock. Also not every company is able to absorb such a sudden change like that?
Then-Rep. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) said Obama was “not protecting our country and our families from Ebola,” suggesting the administration was not doing enough to combat the disease.Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) called Obama’s Ebola response “fundamentally unserious” for refusing to ban travel from nations battling Ebola (the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said this would make it harder, not easier, to contain and combat the outbreak).Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said “political correctness” was hindering the U.S. response to Ebola and that Obama was putting U.S. troops at risk by sending them to countries battling Ebola.“We have ISIS. We have Ebola. We have to secure the border,” Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) said at the time, even though there was no evidence or eventual Ebola cases linked to the southern border.Then-Republican Senate candidate Joni Ernst accused Obama of “failed leadership” on Ebola.“Gosh, can you imagine if Mitt [Romney] was the president right now?” former senator Scott Brown (R-Mass.) said. ” … I guarantee you we would not be worrying about Ebola right now.”Scalise himself accused the Obama administration of incompetence in its Ebola response.“This president in general, all across his agencies, has not shown the ability to run a competent administration,” Scalise said, one day before Obama appointed Ronald A. Klain as Ebola czar. Some of these same Republicans have since praised the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus, despite new reporting of a faulty government-created test that has delayed monitoring of the disease. In 2014, Donald Trump slammed Obama’s appointment of Klain, tweeting, “Obama just appointed an Ebola Czar with zero experience in the medical area and zero experience in infectious disease control. A TOTAL JOKE!”On Wednesday, Trump appointed Vice President Pence to lead the coronavirus response, someone with no medical experience.

Someone please post the Biden speech since Biden won't post it himself and advocate himself.
