Optimus being perpetually triggered by libs on The Bore is the best, tbh.

It's the kind of entertainment that's good for the whole family, even benji.
...the pile on, the banning , and now every possible way for censorship and we are the ones that are babies that get triggered? ookkayy

So that lady that wants to abolish ICE won the Democratic primary in NY.

it's kinda adorable how they think filler actually gives a shit about them and isn't just in it for the fuckery like a true proud glorious shitposter extraordinaire

i trust that he's too principled to hand out pity likes, especially for those begging for them

his pamphlet on it really went into detail about the value of a like and its importance as a regulatory system to promote discussion

the way he tied the entire thing into Aquinas' theory of just war was a masterpiece of the genre

I don't give a flying fuck about likes, if I wanted to be liked I'd go to a forum not full of Clinton voters I have openly expressed my contempt for, I do care though about butthurt liberals that want to censor everything that triggers them.

filler upvotes drama and maybe posts he likes but I like his style regardless.

[I don't give a flying fuck about] a forum ... I have openly expressed my contempt for, I do care though about butthurt liberals that want to censor
but...like...why?

To own the libs by perpetually whining about them everywhere where they are present, I think.

Listen, sometimes the path of a healthy, well-adjusted person requires incubating 2 dozen burner accounts on GAF since 2004 so as to never run out of accounts to troll the libs for their irrational censorship.

..It’s about ethics in forum etiquette and moderation.

In slightly more consequential news than thebore's descent into mod tyranny, the supreme court just gutted public-sector unions.

So that lady that wants to abolish ICE won the Democratic primary in NY.

Abolishing ICE is definitely going to be a litmus test in the 2020 Dem primaries. Bernie was asked if he would close ICE and demurred and his supporters have been criticizing him pretty harshly over it.

"Hey Jordan, Jordan. You know who get physical. Women with kids. They slap them and pull them and shit to get them to behave. Otherwise they'd be little shits"
"You know that right? Like us dads we just hang out and give them games and beer and stuff."

"You think those little cunts should be banned from seeing their mothers because of the 'physical' threat?"

Honestly there has been a lot of shitty days in the Trump presidency, the notion that we are likely now facing a far right conservative court for up to the next 15-20 years may be the worst.

If the democrats retake the senate, they should block any judge nominations. The new normal is that you need both the senate and the presidency to get any new ones.

I bet that's why Kennedy retired before the midterms.

Not sure what Kennedy's reasoning is but unless he doesn't formalize it until after the election, no way the Republicans don't jam through an appointment before November.

It's always funny to me seeing US citizens being like "Oh no this is the worst oh my god I need to move" while I and my third world brethren laugh as you don't know true suffering.

Trump is awful, but at worst he's around for 6 more years. Either fix your shit or deal with it.

SC picks last much longer than 6 years though. More like 30-40.

It's so odd to me that someone can look at American politics and see democratic socialism and social justice as opposing forces.

Look at Ocasio-Cortez's platform and the demographics of her district. Or look at Ben Jealous, who was endorsed by Bernie Sanders and is the former head of the NAACP. Or look at the history of the country at all, really.

Roe gets struck down, abortion gets banned in red states, middle class women can still take a road trip if they need the procedure.

Unlike LGBT issues, there hasn't been a ton of movement in public opinion on abortion rights over the decades, IIRC. I'd like to think there'd be a massive backlash but I wouldn't expect one.

I do think at least with some of the truly big things like Roe v. Wade Roberts will be an impediment to overturning it because he seems to indicate(?) that the matter is settled, but has been in favor of some pretty drastic alterations around the issue(?)

But I am not some Roberts expert. He does, unfortunately, now become the swing vote, and really the only one, for all that comes with it.

Yeah, one of the weirdest things about the last election was that Bernie was somehow the candidate against identity politics/SJWism even though the guy marched in the streets and got arrested during the Civil Rights era.

And somehow Hillary was the face of idpol/SJWism, even though the same people who criticized her for it loved bringing up her comments about "superpredators".

I think they won't try and overturn Roe v. Wade untio they are 100% sure they can do it, and the hope is RBG doesn't make it. If that happens it's going to be balls to wall crazy shit the justices will come up with.

I think this, too. They won’t go for Roe unless they know they can take it down, and they really need a sixth R to be safe.

I see lots of concern around about RBG retiring, but not so much for Breyer, who is also really old. Is there a reason nobody is concerned about him retiring anytime soon?

I think it's understandable that Bernie struggled with non-millennial minority voters. He came from a lily-white state, had no connections in nonwhite communities, and was more comfortable talking about class than race (even if he was to the left of Clinton on a lot of cultural issues).

Clinton appropriating the language of identity politics, though, is the height of cynical opportunism. She took forever to support gay marriage, she was obviously uncomfortable with activist politics, she ran on the white working class vote in 2008, etc, and suddenly she's the candidate of intersectionality.

I mean I'm concerned, not as concerned as I was for Kennedy(who has had rumors and tea leaves swirling for a couple years) or RBG, who is the oldest and looks it.

She also just put in more work reaching out to black constituencies and started much earlier than Sanders did.

I felt like Sanders should've gotten more stick for skipping a bunch of states when they all assign delegates proportionally, but in his defense he might have felt it was more important to get some wins for the media coverage and volunteer/donor enthusiasm.
