Nate got plenty of shit for his model not having Hillary at 99.99% and instead at like 75%, and then fairly early on election night showing Trump as winning. (Along with the NYT's model which is derived from an older 538 model.)

His biggest 2016 cycle mistake was the whole endorsement based model. Especially since it weighted for things like who State Governors and Senate Chairmen supported but not who Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity supported. Nor did it weight the value of non-endorsements.
