And trump whispered to russia, we're coming soon. The russians were playfully curious, but trump kept going quietly, we're coming, all over you, dont ask he whimpered. deep into the night he came.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/trump-impeachment-inquiry/here-s-price-mitt-romney-paying-standing-against-trump-n1072111?cid=public-rss_20191027
Quote
Here's the price Mitt Romney is paying for standing against Trump
The Senate's most outspoken GOP critic of the president finds his motives are questioned, and worse.
Quote
One man is an island: Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah.

The 72-year-old former Republican presidential nominee has isolated himself from Republicans in the Senate, in his home state and across the country by occasionally — but strongly — criticizing President Donald Trump, including his efforts to enlist the aid of foreign governments to probe a leading political opponent.

"By all appearances, the President's brazen and unprecedented appeal to China and to Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is wrong and appalling," Romney tweeted earlier this month.

In recent weeks, the senator's acts of rebellion against the commander-in-chief have been flagrant: from publicly confirming "Pierre Delecto" is the secret identity he used to counter Trump on Twitter to bashing Trump's Syria policy on the Senate floor to positioning himself on the front edge of any move by GOP lawmakers to break away and either censure the president or vote to remove him from office if the House follows through with impeachment.

While that House-side inquiry has put a heat lamp on Republican senators from states where voters aren't thrilled with the president's actions — particularly swing-state lawmakers who are up for re-election in 2020 — Romney's criticism of Trump hasn't prompted those colleagues to follow him into the political no-man's land of finding fault with both the president's conduct and the divisiveness of impeachment.
Quote
Knowing how popular the president remains in the Republican Party — and how afraid GOP members of Congress are of drawing Trump's wrath — Romney was aware that he would be separating himself from the pack when he chose to speak out, as he did during the 2016 election, according to advisers who spoke to NBC on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter on the record.
Quote
As for impeachment, the advisers said, Romney is grappling with his concern that the entire process is bad for the country and will end up being even more divisive no matter the outcome, a worry that he shares with his wife, Ann Romney.

poor guy, hope his running mate Tulsi can cheer him up some, maybe play him something on the ukulele :heart

Trump's going to be so bitter when this doesn't get treated the same way as Bin Laden being killed.

This is when Paul Pierce tried doing a retirement tour his last season and Draymond Green told him "you thought you was Kobe."

The recent ISIS kill screams late-stage empire and growing irrelevance.  Sure kill a dude thousands of miles away while infrastructure crumbles, global influence wanes, citizens go bankrupt and die on a for-profit healthcare system, the next generation is crippled with student loans, and so on.  But MAGA, right.

If todays media existed in 1945

German painter turned chancellor who advocated regime change in Moscow takes his own life at 58, after tumultuous decade in office

"What started out as a promising career in painting soon turned into a nightmare after Mr. Hitler had to face many dissapointments.
The neighbours remember how the young Hitler was down on his luck after he twice failed to enter art school and could not find an internship.

Mr. Goebbels, who is now the star of the German hit radio show "Muzik Mit Sternen" recalls the better days of the Hitler administration
as we sit down with the former propaganda chief to memorize both the good and bad days of the time he spend with his former boss.

It seems irrelevant because Trump has been saying all month nearly every time he speaks to the press that ISIS has been 100% eradicated, the caliphate is dead, it's done, USA won, Trump not Obama killed off ISIS. But also this is bigger than killing Osama. :lol

Also, the rant how the SDF/Kurds aren't U.S. Allies and the U.S. doesn't own them any protection, should be out of Syria, etc.

I think the whole situation is simpler though is that Trump desperately wants people to talk about anything but Impeachment, and he lucked out that it's an actual achievement that he can push vs. the number of things he usually rants about.

Then this photo op operation coming from the mouth of a pathological liar. :thinking

Like with the Bin Laden rant there's a bunch of social media posts about the US raid and the aftermath so something did happen.
As for Baghdadi. If the press screams hard enough that they don't believe Trump, he'll have Baghdadi's remains rolled in with a wheelbarrow.

CNN still shook their friend is dead.

The best part of the day:

Media for 3 years: "DO NOT FALL FOR RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION"

Russia: "Baghdadi dead? Eh, probably US propaganda!"

Media: "Russia says it didn't happen!"

I don't think the US military brass would be willing to fake a Baghdadi raid to give Trump some good press.
However, I can believe some aspects of the story are made up. Such as Baghdadi crying and the photo of Trump in the situation room being staged.

What's really terrible about this is that it's actually completely believable that Trump would make something like this up and hold an hour rambling press conference about it

The Russians have such an easy job  :goty2

Especially because he’s been supposedly killed like 3 or 4 times.

I don’t believe it unless they grabbed him out of a spider hole.

Sure, but this could’ve been said any time 8n the last 15 years as we were killing dozens of #2’s in Al Queda all through the recession years. Killing innocent bystanders in the process.

Yeah, surprised that she resigned. She was in a purple district largely made up of three different cities in her congressional district. Palmdale/Lancaster is pretty democratic due to the sheer numbers of lower income residents, large prison population and Aerospace industry in the area due to cheap real estate (relative to L.A. county). Santa Clarita was mixed being a tradtional Republican district but becoming more purple due to changing demographics, and Simi Valley which has stayed traditionally republican. But she probably could still win if she ran for re-election.
