It's pretty mind boggling that out of all the lines of attack against Trump they could've picked, they decided to go with: "He thinks wars are bad"  :doge

I don't care about the Markey/Kennedy race, outside of Kennedy would have totally run in 4 years if Trump wins/Biden wins and then doesn't run for re-election. So it's probably a net good that we don't return to a Kennedy Dynasty.

Unless it's the Arnold side of the Kennedy wing.  :doge

The Dems are so bad at messaging. Trump exposes a weakness, because his words and actions  are inconsistent, and instead they fight the premise.

Instead they could say “if this is so bad, why have you done nothing to stop it? And introduce a bill that lowers military budgets to “fight corruption”.

I don’t even really agree wholeheartedly with his premise. Imo the # that really drives military budget is for the wars we are least likely to ever fight. The F-35 was not developed to fight in Afghanistan.

For the wars we actually fight usually the problem is something like “oh, we need more bulletproof jackets”

Yeah not too long ago Trump was boasting about having some of the biggest military budgets ever even though the presence in Iraq and Afghanistan has been wound down to a few thousand soldiers left in each country.

Black Lives Matter protesters need to pack up and go home.

Yes, protesting against racially motivated police brutality is a righteous cause. But at this fragile moment in time — eight weeks out from the most important election in American history — the rioting, violence and looting swirling around the protests presents a danger that is too high a price to pay.

President Donald Trump has made restoring order to riot-torn streets across the country a cornerstone of his campaign. It effectively distracts from his failure to control the mounting coronavirus death toll, insane unemployment numbers, 360 degrees of self-dealing corruption, and veteran-trashing comments so grotesque they rival Trump’s infamous remark that his celebrity permits him to grab women’s genitalia.
Quote
That means Democrats need to keep their mouths shut, and Twitter fingers still, when they see news footage of law enforcement using reasonable force to end the destruction and violence. Arresting someone with a gun, brick or Molotov cocktail is never pretty, but it’s necessary.

And that means Black Lives Matters organizers need to tell legitimate protesters to go home. Let the streets of Portland and Kenosha be awash in a sea of MAGA hats, not BLM T-shirts.
Quote
The idea of giving up any constitutional right, even momentarily, is difficult to stomach. But the battle for racial equality stands an infinitely better chance under a Biden administration than a second Trump term.

Black men need to get better at following police orders. If you want to hate-tweet me after reading this full column, my Twitter account is listed in my bio. But let me save you some time: I understand how bad it sounds for a lily-white former federal prosecutor to tell Black men what to do — while appearing to ignore police wrongdoing. Video evidence makes it impossible to ignore the violent misconduct of some bad cops.

Weirdly Hillary did significantly better in Miami-Dade than Obama did before her or Gillum and Nelson did in 2018.

Trump won huge margins in rural and suburban counties compared to Obama. Biden has to reduce the margins there to have a chance.

I'm assuming he was more of an unknown in 2016 with the Cuban/Venezuelan residents. Now they love him.

A lot of Cubans, even younger ones adore Trump more than any politician I've seen while living here. Usually, (the ones I know anyway) voted republican out of obligation, but I've never seen people stan Trump this hard even in 2016.

My friend's wife is family friends with DiBlasio, he even prerecorded a message to play at their wedding last week :P

I'm not really much of a fan but tbh I haven't followed him too much, just going mostly by word of mouth for family and friends that actually live in the city. Out here in suburban NY, how "good" a mayor is tends to be how effective they are at getting rid of the homeless and prosecuting criminals and "cleaning up the city" (regardless of the social costs to those living in the city) so it becomes a safe, antiseptic playground for lily-white republican families to visit for the day without getting intimidated.
