"i'm tired of denouncing the same people over and over again, so in order to mix things up, i'm going to fully endorse them this time around" is an interesting defense

I never said he hasn't, I know he has. I'm saying it's been five years, he should be able to turn it around on both the questioner AND redirect it to ANTIFA BIDEN in his sleep at this point. Instead he still freezes up and refuses to do it consistently.

He has no reason to not condemn white supremacists unless, you know, he thinks many of his fans are white supremacists.

In case you haven't noticed, Trump doesn't like to go on the defensive. Even when Biden said he called the military losers and suckers, Trump didn't defend himself and say he never said that. Instead he went back on the offensive. Constantly defending yourself is a good way to look weak.

The news cycle will once again be all about Trump, just the way he likes it. He will call out the fake news for banging the same drum they always do.

"I have nothing against black people, but I sure don't want them moving near me"

"I have plenty of black friends, but they are the good ones"

Kind of hard to take his claims of denouncing white supremacy seriously, when he can't even admit that the country has problems with it. Or whisleblows about "invaders" in the suburbs.

But I don't think his base think they are.

Also, why the fuck you will consider this fake news?  :doge

trump couldn't disown his white supremacist fanbase and he told the proud boys to "stand by"  :dead

Was a dumb question. He has denounced white supremacists many times.

Get fucked.

Quote from: Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien
President Trump just turned in the greatest debate performance in presidential history, displaying a command of the facts and control of the conversation. Joe Biden was revealed as too weak to be president and spent most of the evening on his heels, unable to explain his 47 years of failure as a Washington politician, and even his friends in the liberal media will be unable to spin this as anything other than a miserable failure. Biden is too weak to stand up to the radical left, too weak to stand up to China, too weak to stand up to anti-police leftists, too weak to lead on the economy, and too weak to defeat Covid. Americans saw a strong president on top of his game against an inadequate challenger, who cannot be allowed to become president.

Was a shit show just as I expected. Wasn't ready for "Proud Boys stand back stand by" though  :-\

Looking at the highlights of this glorious train wreck, my first takes.

- Biden could not clown Trump the way he destroyed Paul Ryan back in the day

- Trump realized Joe was not sleepy or demented and as easy to shutdown as he thought

- Trump is visibly pissed that Biden could end his whole political career, something he probably didn't yet realize until this debate

- Trump seemed to think that Chris was going to bat for him, trying to persuade him to his side and addressing him directly

- Biden and Trump are both poor at relaying campaign and party messages and both mostly hold their own positions,
Trump on proud boys and the virus, Biden on the supreme court and policing

Neither of them won decisively in the way they thought they could.
I think another debate would actually be helpful.

Now that they got this frustration out of their system and they sized each other up realizing they can both win they can rework their strategies accordingly.

Also Sleepy Joe is not as effective as 'Crooked Hillary'. Crooked could be associated with a number of things and is not only a powerful visual metaphor but also
as a way to highlight her weaknesses in dealing with foreign governments, wall street and other special interests. Crooked Hillary is a villain that Trump could defeat.

Sleepy Joe doesn't work as well because Sleepy doesn't hold the same weight to it as crooked. The same way as Dangerous Donald didn't work, becuase that actually sounds kind of cool.
The sleepy nickname also isn't tied to Joe's history and conduct as a career politician. So it mostly falls flat as an attack beyond memes. In fact it hurts Trump if he loses an argument
with Sleepy Joe. If even someone as sleepy as Joe can fight him in the ring, he comes across as rather weak and uncertain.
Trump should've gone with something like Sleazy Joe. Sleazy meaning that he would make deals with anyone, like the Chinese or Ukrainians to make sure he gets his piece of the pie and/or
cheat at the debates. That would make people question what Biden is doing when he's not out there campaigning and hiding in his basement. They can imagine him making all sorts of deals
and messing around with ballots or whatever. When it's sleepy, well, Joe is just sleeping in his basement. That's not a danger to anyone.

My favorite part was when Biden called trump a clown to his face in front of millions of people.

Second favorite was trump yelling about 14,000 dead from H1N1 but no has responsibility for the 200,000 dead from corona.

This was Trump's chance to make a comeback and he couldn't break Biden but Biden didn't deliver the K.O. either so the debate hasn't really changed anything.

With the Hilldawg debates he made a couple of zingers and sort of impressed everyone that he didn't fold against Clinton in the first 5 minutes when it came to foreign policy and other subjects.

Done watching this thing. Wow, the short clips do not do it justice. You have to see the entire thing to fully appreciate it.
Joe Biden is talking to voters and about their concerns. Trump is just talking shit and interrupting everybody

"Will you tell your supporters to stay calm on election day knowing it will take a longer time to count?"

"NO I WILL FUCK UP THE ENTIRE COUNTRY TO FIGHT THIS FRAUD"

"Yes, I will just accept it and wait"

Thank you gentlemen

Trump had no coherent message because he's not running on his 2016 platform anymore.
He said nothing about ending wars, the wall and immigration policies and very little about putting American workers first.
Only at the end did he remember to talk about all the judges he installed.

In fact, Biden highlighted his own America First policies and kept saying that Trump had no plan. And Trump never countered him on that unless on healthcare which also went nowhere.
Biden also made mistakes that Trump could've easily slammed but didn't. Every time he picked the most roundabout way at getting back at Biden with something Biden either had nothing to do with or could easily counter.

And Trump just kept talking about anything except what Wallace asked him. When race came up he talked about Law & Order, when the economy came up, he started talking about Hunter Biden.
At some point he started to debate with Chris Wallace: "Sir, we can switch seats if you want"

Trump went from a populist anti-establishment message in 2016 to nervously shouting clickbait lines in 2020.

There was one fleeting moment of 2016 debate Trump, when Biden said he held much smaller events and you could hear Trump say in the background: 'Because no one would show up' and Chris had to hold back his chuckle and even Biden smiled.
And that is Trump's biggest problem. Biden enjoys the Presidential spectacle and is willing to go through the motions to deliver his message and get elected. He doesn't feel entitled to the Presidency.
Hillary Clinton resented the whole democratic process and just wanted to get it over with as soon as possible and Trump actually showed the same sentiment at last nights debate.

Because thats what Fox news does. In 2016, all they had to do was be anti-Obama. Now they can't be anti-Obama (as much) so they resort to making shit up. And since that's all Trump watches, that's all he knows.

Im sure everything Trump said had been a talking point on Fox within the previous 48 hours.

he Trump family is worried that Parscale could turn on them and cooperate with law enforcement about possible campaign finance violations. “The family is worried Brad will start talking,” the source said.

We called this months ago right. When you claim your opponent is senile, has dementia, is distinguished mentally-challenged etc...you set the bar so low that all he has do is breath in order to overcome it. Biden was fine last night. Which is all he needs to be. Literally, he just has to survive until election day and he's probably going to win. I liked that he showed he could be a dick, too. There's really no other way to deal with a bully than to hold your ground, and he threw out as many "this fucking guy..." retorts as I expected.

Trump was terrible. Shout outs to all the people who told me this guy is a debate master. Rolling over Jed is one thing. This ain't that.
