yeah, Monty Python is pretty hit or miss with me, now -- when I was a kid, they could do no wrong, but they've been seriously bettered by the last thirty years of British comedy.
Fawlty Towers, though, is still a riot. It set the tone and comedic pacing of the modern britcom, and we wouldn't have such hilariously dire and caustic characters like Edmund Blackadder or Bernard Black without the over-the-top misanthropy of Basil Fawlty.
Also, and fuck you fagaboos in advance, but I like Coupling. It's like Friends but, y'know, actually funny. And it's really mean. Any of Steve's whiny rants bashing women or justifying his perversion make me LOL.
