If anyone still needs to complete Rat King, the Nightfall this week is a great opportunity. If you select double grenades in your class abilities, you can have almost infinite grenades - completing the nightfall with 5+ minutes remaining is very achievable.

It is hard to reconcile my experience of buying destiny 1 and all the expansions for $20 bucks with paying 60 for this, but I guess I’ll probably keep doing a few things every week until I get up to the cap. Might even make a second character, have only ever done warlock — what class y’all like?

I had a hard time getting into Destiny 1. Probably never would have stuck with it, except a bestie in California is head-over-heels for it, so it was our go-to co-op experience.

I'm actually enjoying Destiny 2, where the Public Events and side adventures have added to it. It also feels better balanced, overall. There's likely some very deep game balancing happening that's not visible to players at this point.

The guy that went back to Destiny 1 after declaring 2 a failure is almost certainly falling prey to judging Destiny 2 on 1's merits, critiquing the game he wished he'd had, instead of the one he's got.

Golden gun is viable in PVP but if you compared every subclass vs the other characters, it's not even close

They nefred Defenders by letting me use a shield that can one hit and block golden gun shots

I'd say chances are it is sustainable by sheer numbers i.e. D2 selling gangbusters and the excellent word of mouth due to the PC beta - the only argument against that would be the lack of endgame incentive right now I guess

Come on now. Bubble Titans are shit now. They also nerfed my favourite exotic to boot. So I basically run around with a completely ineffective build - bubbles and ACD/0 feedback fence that barely damage a fucking thrall just because nostalgia.

That's the problem. My favourite playstyle in Destiny 1 was multiple overshields through bubbles and continuous recharge on melee. So I used to get those up, wade into groups of trash mobs and just punch punch punch. Hence the feedback gauntlets.

Now, I can't do any of that. No shield from bubble, no real reason to even pop a bubble when you have barricades, no recharge on my melee overshield and the gauntlets do fuck all.

I feel like everyone else got to keep variations of their favourite builds, whilst mine has been gimped down to near irrelevance.
