Is it worth dropping one of my regular teammates for Akechi? I have my 3 regulars s.links maxed so they have all the special moves unlocked. Basically, are demons with light/curse weaknesses going to be prevalent in the 6th palace?

Yes.

They're probably the best party member in the game because they are able to work 2-3 elements. Their all-out attack win animation is  and generally they're good. I'd include them, but:

Makoto never left my party. But damn did I want to strangle her during that dungeon introduction. She came into her own eventually, but stupid teen being a stupid teen.

My party was pretty set: Yusuke, Makoto and maybe Morgana or Ryuji for healing/damage. I fused a Matador and like a Sandman like 2 dungeons earlier and carried them to the entire end game. They went from like level 20 to level 50-60.

Yes. And a few days for other things depending on how many S-links you need to max.

Fool and Magician should be the last ones (unless you haven't done Strength in which case you have ONE last chance to do that. Use the money exploit for this and finishing up Mementos requests). They WILL Max out so don't panic when it's 12/23 and still not max'd.

If you haven't Max'd your social stats by mid-November, you're probably fucked though. There's SO many opportunities (if you followed the GameFAQ's guide anyway) to hit it by like... September or October or so that you should be able to get those provided you did all the +3 stat things.

If you haven't done the Big Bang Burger challenges, do them. They give you +3 in like 4-5 stats if you do the 3. After that it's +3 guts.

Just pay the fortune chick if you're really behind on stat buffing.

That doesn't matter if he doesn't have the Personal stats. There's a few S. Links that require level 5 in certain Personal stats, so even if Chihaya gives you the "level up" point requirements you can't advance the S. Link.

Does that go past +3? Because AFAIK all the events have a max of +3 in social stats. So if you did that for Big Bang Burgers, it wouldn't really matter as those are a guaranteed +3 Guts anyway.

My ultimate team would be P4 Protag, Makoto, Akihiko and Mitsuru.

It isn't a coincidence the more grown up characters are the most enjoyable. I'm fine with the highschool setting but give me more mature personalities. Looking back, I think that's why I appreciated SEES so much and they're probably my favorite group.  They had gone through some real shit before the MC even showed up.

really blew me away.  I thought Igor was just re-cast since his voice actor died (Japanese VA) after P4 and they were going for a different feel as respect for the old VA instead of just getting someone to copy his voice.  Then HOLY CRAP IT'S ACTUALLY A PLOT RELEVANT TWIST omggggg; yeah that's like next level meta shit.  Between that and the fairly smart explanation of how the Protag survived the Adachi thing, I thought P5's plot writing was really clever.

It got all dumb and gody.  I've grown to accept the final segment of the game, but at the time I really disliked how the plot went from being a cool Lupin-esque human plot about people and populism and you beat down Shido and it's all awesome and then...OH NO IT WAS ALL REALLY EVIL SUPER GODS PLAN NO GOTTA FIGHT FATE BLAH BLAH BLAH edgy jrpg shit.  I know P4 had that too with the true ending, but it was more of an optional afterthought there.  I didn't like how it was forced into the main plot this time.

That endgame bit is my only problem with the plot, otherwise I think it's a real good story for an rpg

Demiurge that while he knew people will still be apathetic after Shido confession, the ball was still in humanity desire to be controlled. The fact that the gang still need to "fight" against the system to get the MC out of juvie feels like a way to say "still your responsibility to get things better"

So did the game bug out for me? After not being able to complete a Yuskue event due to not having enough pro, he's never appeared again or asks to hang out. He doesn't even appear in the Underground Walkway.

It shouldn't be bugged or blocking Yusuke out. If it is, it might be because your Prof. is too low, raise that and he should appear again. But yeah: Do the dungeons ASAP if possible to get the S. Links done without worrying about that.

Can confirm that it is possible to max all S.Links, read all the books, play all the videogames, hit a homerun in the batting cage, and catch the Guardian of the Pond in one run.

Yes, of course I used the FAQ, but the FAQ doesn't allow time for catching the Guardian. I actually got behind on the FAQ at first because I forgot to match Arcana when I was doing S.Links and that caused me to get behind on a few of them, but then later in the game I realized the guide didn't take advantage of the Fortune Teller to cheese through S.Links, and doing that let me catch back up and get ahead of the guide, then I used the extra days I had at the end to catch the Guardian. Not a super big-deal, since I doubt I'll ever Plat this game. I don't really have a desire to do a NG+ and derp around Mementos for several hours looking for all the treasure demons to complete the compendium.

Still gotta actually beat the game first, I've only just now started Shido's Palace.  75 hours.

How tough is Reaper in a legit fight? He was scary as fuck in P3 until near the very end of the game. Still haven't run into him in Mementos.
