So, here's the update.

Unfortunately I was a bit late to the party. I work nights and overslept. I arrived right before he left the court, but missed the hearing.

I asked one of the local police officers that was there what had happened. He said that Goldberg waived his hearing for a plea agreement, so there wasn't an actual hearing held. Instead the case will just move forward in the county courthouse in Stroudsburg, but he wasn't sure what the next court date is. That should be on the UJS Portal within a day or two though, I'd imagine.

He also said that the agreement was for him to plead guilty to a felony 2 count of CP and a felony 3 count of CP in order to avoid a trial on all charges. He wasn't sure what the sentence was likely to be, but said it should be upwards of 2 years in jail which means he'll go to a state prison instead of county prison. He'll also be a registered sex offender for 25 years.

Well, not that it matters (since I was 16 at the time, and my morals have become a BIT more steadfast since then), but I had told the clerk on line that I'd go back and grab the money for the NesQuik when my break came around. So my intent was to pay for it. But if I had gone to the back room to grab my wallet out of my locker, and waited on line at the time, it would have taken like 30 minutes to get to the cashier, and I probably would have gotten in big trouble with my boss for wasting time.

Its not an excuse its an explanation, people like him should be treated (and locked up) to break the cycle.
