By sheer coincidence, poly saw a woman make a post on facebook where she described an unwanted encounter with Tyler Malka. He made screenshots, distributed the images, and then three days later they started filtering their way on to neogaf. A few mods resigned/were banned and a few users were scrubbed from the site entirely (backslashbunny's account was renamed and all of her posts removed). This gave the woman's account more plausibility (members see mods resigning, so they think there might be some fire to go with that smoke) and people began asking WTF was going on. Initially, these threads were shut, so people began discussing Evilore's alleged sexual assault in other threads. Some of these other threads were locked, but one by one the mods began to resign and those who remained didn't seem interested in covering up for Evilore anymore. We're now at the point where the entire forum is in open rebellion. Multiple people, including myself, have posted images detailing Evilore's European sexual exploits as well as his decision to leak olimario's gf's nudes. No one's getting banned (although I'm sure I will be if the forum survive). All admins except one have resigned. Around 10 mods have officially resigned, but I've heard an additional 3 - 4 are also done with GAF... but there's no one left to remove them so their names remain on the staff page.

I hadn't heard this side of the story at all, anywhere.  I was kinda curious why and how that Facebook photocap bubbled up, and if it was legit.  Thanks very much for sharing.

In a private group convo, one of my fellow participants brought up the fact that EL got #MeToo'd on FB. I saw someone on my feed telling a story an hour prior that could've fit but I didn't read it too closely, was skeptical and posted a shot in our convo.. I was then directed toward the comments and lo and behold, there was the name. Was a holy shit moment for me, and something of a letdown too, having met both the accuser and the accused IRL. Posted that shot in our convo as well. Came to the realization that this should only really go public if the accuser wants it to because it's her story to tell, and the rest of the participants in the convo reached the same consensus, or so it seemed. I deleted the shots from our group chat. Turned out one of the people in there saved the shots, and gave them to another person who then posted it on Voat, and did a godawful job at concealing the identity of the accuser and myself before doing so. She doesn't deserve to get doxxed and harassed by the internet mob if she's not ready for it, and it's solely for that reason that I didn't want this getting out there, which is why I regret sharing that shot in that group convo.

Been lurking NeoGAF since early 2013, PC Bullshot Thread was what reeled me in (and I can't believe I'm seeing Dennis's face again, I blame you for making me start reading internet forums!) and been pretty much following what was happening all day, crazy stuff. A shame what happened to the site in the past couple years, especially the echo chamber it became with some subjects and the whole ban baiting and insane holier than thou attitude some posters had and that it felt like it was enabled by some bad mods, oh well...It's nice seeing some recognizable names/avatars and the forum seems cool, I think I might hang around some.

American Gangster is incredible, WTT is great, and Blueprint 3 is good.
Jay has some of his best rapping there.

No, the point is: The Bore is not NeoGAF: We don't need it's "features" or gimmicks. The only reason you're here is because Shark advertised with a (clever admittedly) NeoNeoGAF.com url to point you here. If he didn't do that, you folks would probably be over at NeoFIG posting there (if their style didn't turn you off).

TheBore has been around for years, the sudden influx in posters that want it to be GAF miss the point of it not being GAF. The charm of it is not the insiders or GAF-refugees, it's the small-town nature of it.
