saw it two times already. I'll keep coming back for Ana De Armas and the visual storytelling, but the plot really started falling apart for me when I started thinking about it.

JOI's character and the visuals alone are worth a watch and a rewatch, but I also agree. The final scene with K was incredible too; Ryan Gosling slays the role.

Yep. Gosling never ceases to amaze me. A former Disney child star that went on to doing mostly indy films and taking only badass roles. Gosling was a powerhouse in 2049. But Ana stole the show for me. Leto was surprisingly good as well, and the lady that played Luv was fantastic as well.

scene just about blew me away in terms of visual design. It's going to be a while before anything tops BR2049 aesthetically or via computer effects.

Yeah, it was amazingly well done and the whole Joi subplot left me asking myself existential questions. Did she really love him? Or was it part of her programming? Does it really matter?

Is it too much to say that the character of JOI is more philosophically interesting than anything presented in the original Blade Runner? What an accomplishment that she creates so much discussion. The scene with K and the large billboard-ad JOI crushed me.

It's hilarious how big of a boogie man Gamergate is to these people. I've hung around some of the GG hot spots, they're pretty harmless from what I've seen. I do think they helped spread the image showing the accusations, but that was about it.
