I understand not trusting white people. I mean, their track record in this country is....dire. I still don't fully, in a way. But I'm at a point where I'm not sure where not trusting them and going full on with it really achieves anything besides creating hate in your heart. Yeah, but it goes beyond simply not trusting white people though. If you've watched any of the MTV decoded videos you would know it is full on political rhetoric. Another thing I have problem with is the lack of perspective. Western countres (i.e. white dominant countries) are actually the most tolerant in the world. There are no other countries in the world more tolerant (lol). Yet the rhetoric coming out of the left you would think it is the exact opposite. Sure, historically white people have done some fucked up things, but there has also been a clear line of progress. You'd think nothing has changed.

That shit doesn't mean much if you are one of the thousands of black people that were forced into a shitty loan because a bank established racist policies that denied equally qualified black candidates the same rates and fee schedules their white counterparts got, denied being shown homes in upper class neighborhoods with better ROI rates,were passed over for a job because they had a black sounding name, having their voting rights diminished, and their kids denied good schooling because of the re-segregation of schools and steep funding cuts going on rapidly in the south.

I don't think it is bizarre. It is simply acknowledging the progress that has been made.  If what you want is to get people on your side, surely it is better to acknowledge the positives as well as saying, "look, there is more that needs to be done. We're not quite there yet" than simply always shouting the negatives and that things are worse than ever.

And if past sins are the thing, like it seems to be with you, then why not also acknowledge the sins of the ottoman empire while you're at it. Why is it, I wonder, it always stops at the imperialism of the West?
