Is that actually a crypto miner? We had arrays of nvidia gpus like that in the comp sci faculty, but they were for analysis of light patterns from stars looking for gravitational lensing to map stars behind stars, and there's lots of other uses for gpu CUDA processing arrays. nearly all a pointless waste of electricity imo, depending on your perspective.

Atra you pulled out your initial investment right? So you're effectively 9k up (minus taxes). Effectively you can start this year fresh with a little bit more money and a lot more knowledge than you had last year.

But be warned, there will eventually (keyword) be no moon shots. It's all going to be small swings like the stock market as every wannabe with a finance degree is going into it.

How so?

My guess is that he realized gains every time he traded from one crypto to another. And the net of that means he actually owes money on crypto he doesn’t currently have.

That said he SHOULD have been able to cash out completely and realize all of his losses and been square, but i think he would have had to do so last year.

Of course I’m making an implicit assumption that taxes on crypto is similar to taxes on stocks. I could be way wrong.
