I think in a conversation at that bar after a couple of beers most people would agree that those are "shithole" countries. Of course, any normal fucking person can see how it's not appropriate language language to use by any public servant, let alone THE PRESIDENT, when discussing IMMIGRATION LEGISLATION. Also anyone with a functioning brain can see that that's THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT of immigration: people from not well-off countries trying to make a better life for themselves and their families. There's nothing more American than that. Like, I get that Trump would rather have more well-off white people coming here, but why the fuck would people from Norway that are happy where they are want to come to our shithole? The real problem is that he speaks to and for white people that feel anxiety over having more brown people around. There's nothing statistically that shows that having more Haitian or African immigrants is worse for the economy or whatever.
