Unless the Gin that Assimilate and Broseidon are talking about is way more mild than the "Bond level"/name-brand Gin (Gordon's which apparently changed the formula from Fleming's era) I've had, Gin is way too strong and has this like "cough-syrup"-y texture of a taste on it which is just "ugh."
I've tried non-Gordon's in a bar and it still bad.
It's smoother, distilled with rose and cucumber hence why people add another layer of cucumber to accentuate it further. Oh, it's so lovely.
https://us.hendricksgin.com/It has to be ICE cold (the gin doesn't actually but i like the tonic at least to be really cold). Add some tonic if you can't handle it straight up which it looks like you couldn't. So refreshing, smooth, and it will knock you off your ass.
God.... I said I was cutting down on drinking liquor this month but now i need one. It's not cheap either. It's more expensive than most vodkas and other gins.
