Getting back into Macromedia Flash (now Adobe Animate) for the first time in 15 years. I'm focusing on copying my favorite styles that I see right now in order to build up some muscle memory, as Daemon suggested. I'm hopeful that one of my Xmas gifts this year is Figure Drawing by Loomis as Cindi recommended.

I've always preferred hard cartoony styles over sketches so I've avoided the DaVinci style of hatching all my life (if I have the correct understanding of the technique.) But I don't have that mental hurdle anymore and I'm trying to be flexible to anything that can improve my skills.

Maybe in another 15 years I'll be good enough to post something in this thread.

That's fantastic!

You probably already know this, but it would pop even better agains a non pure-white background. If you're in ProCreate, that's really easy, as the base layer is just a color setting.
