We were supposed to get 9 inches to a foot and only got about 2 inches. Looking at the map, all the damage is about 15 miles to the north east of me.

Anyone lose power yet? We still have high winds here and there is outages in the area.

Expected 2-5 inches overnight and into today but instead woke up to an 8 incher. All schools canceled, roads pretty shitty. Still snowing.

Had a doc appt and I was one of the few asshole patients not to call out.

Got there early figuring there'd be a few cancellations, to then be informed by the receptionist that they would be closing 15 mins after my appt start time.

Right on, that's 5 hours early but I dig it. Despite all this my doc was late seeing me, finally showing up in jeans and a backwards baseball cap

Coulda/shoulda/woulda rescheduled buuuuut daddy needs his juice. Needed refills for everything, by tomorrow I'd be completely out.

TLDR:
8 inches. Prescription drugs. Daddy got his juice.

A lot of Florida communities put power underground now. The whole grid is underground because every time a hurricane hits it wipes out power. Putting it underground allows you to have to worry only about the transistors above ground going out but those are easily fixed.

Wood doesn't conduct electricity very well so they do it to be safe from getting electrocuted.

Because we have a horribly corrupt system that everyone knows about but rarely addresses. So, if we are still doing dumb shit well into the 21st century, be sure that money is the root of it staying that way.

So, there's probably some rich cabal of people that make billions off of keeping things the way they are and that's why they remain so.

Destruction of power lines and equipment is just good for their bottom lines.
