If you want a setting where the soldiers can be totally without regards to gender or ethnicity, make a scifi game. If you make a period piece, try to at least have some rational, minimal, baseline level of verisimilitude, or just make it clearly, tonally historical fiction / historical fantasy. May as well give the soldiers superpowers or magic at this point. Maybe some mecha.
I just wait for RE to lose their shit if one of those female soldiers gets a mildly sexy outfit

They have, slowly but surely, opened up hardware on iOS via Bluetooth and lightning and USB. You can use microphones, speakers, midi controllers, flash drives, hubs, readers, HDMI OUT, and even Ethernet adapters, something that wasn’t possible just a few years ago.3. Screen sharing an interface that lets you buy AND use content on effectively the same device is a no no.4. Apple WILL get deserved backlash for this.5. iOS is rumored to have big iPad additions next year.6. Not suppporting this app gives incentive to double dip on games they might already have on Steam that they do not own on iOS.7. Valve can make a limited separate big picture mode when streamed to Apple devices that would Remove problem features. Valve can also add enhanced MFi suppport and on screen toggles.If everyone plays the long game, we all win. In a year of backlash, we might get streamlined steam, more support for USB and Bluetooth devices (so using steam controller with included dongle for superior experience) like mice, and new official hardware APIs.
