Yah iOS development is odd, but it's super stable and Dragonvale has made more money than all the games I've worked on combined x10. Besides, I'm an Art Director now, so I just get to criticize other peoples art and schedule meetings.

simple mobile non-graphic-heavy games atm. I've been learning a lot in the span of two years. I'm about to ship my first very simple game and hopefully that will give me some funds/exposure to help finish the other ones. I'd like to do a PC game, but the amount of work for the games I want to do (which are not even content heavy) is way too much without funding. I know this all sounded very generic though

most of the media I had got deleted when I swapped phone, but hopefully this will illustrate some of the stuff. I had a few good videos of the tunnel-looking one, which plays great but I can't seem to get the visual aesthetic I want with the obstacles.

One is an endless runner that I called cosmik marble,

the other one is that cube game that you control with swipes

And then there's the one that looks like a round arena. It's meant to be a couch multiplayer where you knock eachother off the ring, where hazards happen too (example, in that scenario, a sudden death would prompt rocks falling and also dynamite. It's fun because you can knock the dynamite that has yet to explode on others).


Btw none of them are finished. But once I laucnh the current one i'm making, they'll start releasing in succession. I really need to do it.

There is an interesting point in here.  I found myself surprised to see that her games look visually competent, in light of realizing how sick she was.  If she wasn't so hampered by illness, she could have likely been able to support herself in the industry.

I know right? There's this girl in Australia who got raped and murdered and a lot of the articles refered to her as 'murdered comedian' or 'melbourne comedian'. Ehhhh.. if she put it out herself? I'd consider her an indie developer for sure, especially if she did most the work herself. I mean I used to be part of the Halo: Forge mapmaking/ minigame community, but i'd never go so far as to call myself a mapmaker or a game designer, because it didn't take a considerable amount of skill or initiative, and it wasn't like I "put myself out there".
