A room full of people clapping makes you anxious but a room full of people doing jazz hands doesn’t?

Y'all are gonna laugh at this, but I seriously could never got to any school events because they were so loud. I'd have to hide in the bathroom instead. Autistic people often have sensory issues that NTs are unaware of.

Neither of us are really into drugs and can’t find definitive answers on this so could use some help. My wife recently took a job, accepted, put in her two weeks at the old place and was all set to go and last minute are throwing a drug test on her. We live in California so from my understanding weed doesn’t matter (she doesn’t smoke it anyway) but it would test other things. On lapsed judgement she did a couple lines of cocaine about a month ago... how screwed is she? From what I can tell hair would still bring this up but how likely are hair drug tests? I had done a test for a job before it was just urine.

Any ideas?

We're not really into drugs. Just the occasional couples lines of coke. No biggie.

I for one would be happy with supporting efforts to give diabetic people easier access to sugar or safe injection sites. If you don't expect anything of the world, don't be surprised if you don't get anything. Change only happens when you and others advocate for it like these students have done.

I mean that is nice for the diabetic people with low resources and take care of themselves... because there is also diabetic people that doesn’t even bother even when having the money or the resources.

Here's the thing. This is about more than anxiety. This is about literal physical pain. I couldn't do almost any social activity in school growing up because of things like this. I don't want anyone to go through what I had to. It's hard for neurotypical people to understand, but it's true. If we can make the world a better place for disabled people with a minimum of effort, I don't think that's asking for too much.

You are catering to a specific form of disability while pointing out that you physical pain is not that severe to make you impossible to go to live concerts.

In this particular instance it's fine. I'm thinking more of sporting events and concerts though where clapping and cheering are an integral part of the experience. Imagine a basketball or hockey game where people aren't allowed to make noise. It would be absolutely terrible.

Unfortunately I feel like part of it because of an underlying realisation that a need to change in order to be inclusive implies that the existing methodology - that one has tolerated and/or embraced without question prior to this - is exclusive, and well, people aren't given to admitting they supported something unwittingly discriminatory very easily. Thus the incentive to argue that it's not at all discriminatory, or that it is but acceptably so because apparently if you've got issues with something so 'natural' the majority enjoys doing, you're just weird and not deserving being taken seriously, freaks.
