A "game engine", as used in discussions in forums and articles, IS NOT A PIECE OF TECH. Nor it is a "collection", as he says.

Person he quoted is wrong, though. A "game engine" is physics, art, programming, etc/tech. Anyone using it for anything beyond "this is what runs the game underneath" is fucking wrong.

It just dawned on me that peeps like Jason have nowhere to go to get their ego stroked now that NeoGAF is dead.
NeoGAF gave him a cool tag, made him 'one of the good guys' and gave him a platform amongst 'videogame afficionados' to show just how much more he knew about vidya than everyone else. 

So after showergate much like the other #videogameinsiders he followed where the progressive right-side-of-history groupies and furries went, who cultivated a niche garbage dump of overreaction and keyboard activism.
The alternative is going back to the 'old place' which turned hard right once the commies left and isn't acceptable to hang out with anymore if you want to keep the company of Waypoint and their ilk.

So he could turn to the likes of Reddit but there he's just one of millions farting in a subreddit. So the logical next step is Twitter and how to best introduce yourself to the Twitter verse than openly shame the same people you used to suck up to.
