A friend's wife would often hang out with a guy she made friends with.  She's Japanese and is an extreme case of an "otaku."  Loves anime and cosplay and doesn't want to talk to you if you're not into that shit.  Anyway, she started hanging out with another Japanese guy who is also an otaku.  She would go over to his place and spend the night.  My friend said the guy was also married, but that his wife was almost never home because of work.  This didn't sound right to me at all, but I didn't want to say anything about it.  He also told me that she stopped sleeping in the same bed as him.

Then the guy moved to another state and she would go fly over to stay with him for a week or two at a time.  My friend still acted like things were fine.  Then the guy moved back to Japan.  She quit her job and holed up in a guest bedroom for six months or so before ultimately telling him she was also moving back to Japan.  Red flags everywhere.  My friend was working on getting his Master's at the time and stayed here for another year or so before moving back over there.  I thought their marriage was finished, but after he moved back over there things seemed to get better.  She got pregnant shortly after this and I really hope he took a paternity test.  Their kid looks nothing like him.    He's a good guy and doesn't deserve that kind of shit...although when he met his wife, he did totally cheat on his girlfriend at the time (to be fair he knew he was done with his gf) and didn't bother to break up with her until she flew overseas to visit him.  Maybe it's karma.

I trust my wife implicitly and would have no issue with her spending as much time with male friends as she likes.
