I have to admit as a female and a mother I actually found Kara’s story really resonated with me. Loving your child above yourself no matter what they are. Choosing to “defend Alive” at every opportunity - risking yourself each time, I genuinely found it really well done. She was strong, brave, selfless, loving. I felt genuine concern for Alice and it definitely affected my choices.

The scene the author is first moaning about - I didn’t sneak around a manor hiding in fear, I chose to burn that bastard’s house to the ground, just because they chose to hide isn’t a reflection of the game or the writer, but of their own choices. I didn’t ever see it as women being deliberately abused for the hell of it, but of women being brave and strong and fighting back - Traci’s defensing each other and their love to be free. North in some scenarios leading the entire revolution. Countless examples.

I thought it was a very poorly written article trying to dredge up controversy where none exists. All the choices and scenes the author is complaining about say more about them than the game itself if you ask me.
