To dislike the game play, or environments is understandable if that's not for you, but to say the story sucks when it is in fact the most accessible story ever written for a JRPG (not the best) tells me a lot about the type of cunt you are.

Suikoden? Mother 2/3? Dragon Quest series? Much more accessible than XV, which starts out pretty basic then totally falls off the map once you get to Altissa. I don't think a game that requires you to watch a 2 hour long movie for background story, download character-specific DLC to fill in plot gaps, or follow any type of cross media is really all too 'accessible'.

It was way down on my list of games to play so when I got to it all the dlc was out, gaps filled, and I could watch the movie for free on amazon. I feel sorry for the day one people. Was probably the shit fest that everyone say's it was.
I ain't played them other games. Accessible is probably the wrong word, maybe I mean westernized like a cheap netflix series?? Idk... It was the only JRPG where I actually liked the characters.

i can't imagine there is any material difference between the service branches, but USAF 'base passes', you go to the visitor center (not at a gate, but usually annexed by one) and request one for 1-30 days; which automates a background check. commercial-licensed vehicles (ie dudes delivery furniture, company contractors etc) get directed to a specific location and get a vehicle search and an on the spot background check. in either case, you're getting a full pull on your id; having seen what it looks like it shows literally everything crime-related, i've seen stuff from 80s on people, stuff like traffic violations as well as sexual assault or DUIs.

if you forget your DOD ID, special vendor ID or don't have a visitor base pass when you try to enter, you're directed to the visitor center. they will either verify your ID via fingerprint (DOD dudes) or run a background check and issue one to you, the latter only happens if you're 'sponsored' by a DOD card holder (retirees, active duty, civil servants etc)... I've seen people get 'sponsored' only to get rejected due to drug/whatever offenses on your background check, the relevance of which depends on the severity and type of crime and local base policy. ex where I'm at any sexual assault conviction is an automatic no regardless of how long ago it happened, while DUIs are given a 5 year window iirc.

this post basically sums up what likely happened... he probably didn't have a REAL ID/enhanced ID (which you pay extra for), got turned around on the gate (meaning they take your ID and direct you around a loop since you're technically 'on base' while this happens) got directed to a visitor center, possibly to meet a sponsor or get an exception, who knows, and once the background check was run it popped a federal warrant. state/local stuff usually gets you unceremoniously kicked off, likely detained depending on the type of offense, but a federal warrant is going to get you detained, without question.

also state and local laws mean nothing; assuming weed being legal in your state means you can roll onto the local military base with a joint in your bag will get you nothing but disappointment... i've seen delivery drivers get permanently barred from entry because of this multiple times in MA.

When I was a correctional officer we would have people coming to visitation at the prison with outstanding warrants. We would let them come in for visitation and call the police. We basically had to do background checks to make sure they could come into the prison. A lot of them seem shocked that we checked for warrants.

My advice would be not to try and go into a secure facility unless you got your shit straight. Seems like common sense.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty common knowledge that even the cafeteria workers in government buildings have to fill out an SF85p and get a background check.  Also, any time someone on the internet starts a sentence with something like "i know plenty of people who" or "I've met several", what they really mean is that they think they talked to some people at one point on a discussion forum. They don't actually know anyone in any category.

Getting access to a military base is a god damn pain in the ass and exactly like you described it.  I had a contract at a Navy base one time, and while I was waiting for my access card, I had to stop by the guard building every day and wait for half an hour while they made a series of phone calls to make sure I was supposed to be there.  I'm not sure why they would try to get a pizza guy past the front at all.  How about just leave the pizza at the front desk or even better, just refuse to deliver there at all?

Government background checks are pretty friendly to dudes who live in their mom's basement until they're 40 since the government is primarily watching for:

A. Sudden influxes of cash (which probably isn't something that guy ever worried about) or
B. Signs you might be willing to engage in illegal activity (well he had a good run for a while on that one anyway)

But generally nobody knows what basement dudes are up to in general, so they're ideal candidates for that kind of job.

That's the confusing part. When we ordered food back in the military, we'd always pick it up at the gate. Restaurants weren't even willing to deliver unless we did.
