I don't really take kindly to these sorts of accusations about the site, and Aeana seems to attribute it to herself being the pillar that was holding its virtue intact until she left. She barely modded at all. She was on formal warning at the time shit went down for unprofessional conduct. None of that hit her, though, because I took the fall and tried to keep everyone else clear of the angry mob, so I never named her and kept her out of the shitstorm. Forum moderation is hard. She seemed to try her best. etc.

This tweet is petty as fuck and disrespectful to the whole team working hard here to make NeoGAF a great discussion board despite the defamation and coordinated attacks by the people who went on to form resetera.

That's my perspective on things, but it's not like she ever stated the above as her agenda when she came on. While I don't agree with her stated reasons there, they seemed to be coming from a place of good intentions...for whatever that's actually worth these days, considering the followup. So I tried to deescalate, be polite, and end our interactions on a positive note. I cared about everyone on my team.

Thanks. The team and I are trying hard and putting in the work. All the hate and defamation spread in perpetuity now around takes its toll, though. I'm a human being.................. I'll just go back to staying off the Twitter cesspit.

We have our proper integration test server up for the major design update, btw, so that in its final stretch! And we're working on getting the mobile ad footprint under control, hopefully tomorrow with the ad tags from our new ad ops folks. And the politics split from off-topic is in the works. Aeana  was not a exactly good mod to begin with, lore. She picked fights with devs because localization issues and was pretty passive aggressive with most of the users. You are so fucking clueless, Tyler. Both of you are cowards.

TBH Aeana was one of the mods I mostly interacted with on GAF, due to mutual interests in obscure rpgs, and I never really noticed much in the way of passive aggressiveness from her. Then again I usually avoid "game drama" type threads like the plague.
