How can it be a racist allegory if humans arn't even the most superior race? I've been doing it more and more for all game to be honest. ResetEra is rife with outrage culture, thread derailments, offtopic posting, etc., and none of these get moderated. You can't even speak out about poor moderating because staff will just ban you for saying there is poor moderation, lol.

Good thing is there are plenty of other places for discussions, so just use them all as necessary.

What else is there to say, really? If kaf's word is true, then there is a good bit of confirmation bias on display in this thread, and I'd cop to it. As it is it's just his word vs. theirs; it's all conjecture we just have to decide what to believe about ourselves, if anything. Unless there is elaboration from both parties, of course. I think this is a good example of how the industry's intense secrecy hurts the public's perception of it. If we had greater information sooner we could probably say more of substance, and I could choose to believe one party.

Sorry I read those in high school and the two towers took me years to go through because it was so bad.

Someone needs to make an abridged LOTR that makes the story decent and readable like they did with the abridged Princess Bride. I remember in the introduction the author tells how his father cut out the boring parts of the book when reading it to him as a child and the orignal author wrote about every single item in the princesses suitcase with very minute detail. LOTR is like that. Someone abridge them and make them readable. The radio dramas are mostly abridged anyways.
