Aiden Pierce was a refreshingly unpleasantly protagonist in a sea of "likeable" suckups. Kane & Lynch are still superior, obviously, but playing as a selfish, self-serving scumbag who does terrible things and hurts the people who put trust in him while convincing himself he's some kind of white knight was a good thing.

I always like WD1 more than WD2 in part because WD2 tried to make its characters "charming" and "likeable" instead of doubling down on bad people doing bad things to other bad people.
