btw as far as reset constantly bringing up gamergate as if it was the most important event of the decade

if anyone is curious about the other side of that, earlier I was down a rabbit hole listening to various streams and found one about "gamergate 2.0"

the gist of it is, there's a stream called the Ralph Retort which hosts various paranoid weirdos and alt-righters, one regular is Mister Metokur who apparently was one of the "leaders" of gamergate until he left it because everyone cared about it too much and started considering it an important platform/movement

he was friends with Sargon of Akkad until they had a falling out and now they hate each others' guts

well a couple months ago Sargon went on this stream with a brilliant plan he wouldn't tell anybody about and was going to reveal it on the stream, he wanted all these other people there including Metokur because they were influential even though he hated them, he wanted all hands on deck for his master plan

he can't stop giggling to himself about it and over the course of an hour tries to slowly build up hype and tension for this idea while everyone on the stream is having none of it and flinging shit at him

and it turns out Sargon's grand master plan is to get the band back together and start up gamergate 2.0 and get Donald Trump to tweet about it because "wouldn't the reaction to it be funny," that was literally the endgame, the most "?, profit" plan possible

everyone goes fuck this is dumb, no one cares about gamergate, also good job talking about your sekrit plans on a public archived stream genius, and is to date one of Sargon's biggest embarrassments which is saying something

point being, if anything of gamergate is actually still around, whoever is left doesn't even care or want to see it brought up again, attempts to revive it are laughed at by the people who "ran" it, it's that pointless and dead
