Black Panther was a fine movie when it was directly addressing the politics of the world that it built and giving the protagonist an arc (the second act)
Too bad the movie ended with metal rhinos and two cgi panthermen punching each other in a jrpg train station, and began with a neon car chase that served no purpose other than action figures. My heart sunk as soon as they ditched black panther fighting those poachers like batman so he could shoot purple lasers beams. What a boring character to watch fight. I relished every moment spent out of the suit even though the dueling fight scenes couldn't even touch what Coogler did in Creed.
It's an important film, but so is crash, lol. So is twilight and Harry potter and hunger games.
