I like how the conversation has turned into “what is victim blaming.” You have one side, let’s call them the rational ones, who are like “it’s a bit suspect to walk through dark desolate streets at 2am in -30 weather for a shitty iceberg lettuce salad from Subway.” Then you have the other side, let’s call them the irrational ones saying, “This is victim blaming! Everyone knows the streets are packed with people at 2am in Chicago on a record breaking polar vortex night! I walk to Subway in Arctic conditions all the time!”
First, there was no victim. There never was a victim. Second, if the Ree way was the real way, this would have never been exposed because the truth is less important than believing certain demographics of people, no matter how flimsy their story may be. And finally, the surveillance footage clearly shows that nobody was out on those streets at that time, in those conditions. Nobody, except for Jussie and his goons. What a surprise, people don’t go out in life threatening conditions unless they are engaged in some foul ass behavior.
Yes, this was fishy from the start. I questioned it from the start, however, if his story had turned out to be true, I would not have engaged in actual victim blaming, you know, the kind where there actually is a victim.
