1518, so they could go straight from Africa to the Americas without having to swing by Spain or elsewhere first, the "same ports" on the continent were only used for like a decade and after that most all Africans landing in Europe were to stay there not be re-gathered and sent to Haiti or whatever, Europe would have been an unnecessary detour unless the ship had some other reason to return like lack of supplies, damage, etc.
