Outside of the realm of possibility, it is known.

That said if one of the black dudes on france loses their cool and gets a red, i can see it maybe happening.  :hitler

i'd actually rather play france than belgium. capable of beating either on our day (or more to the point, off of theirs) though.

croatia is a straight toss up. we might edge it due to not having extra time and playing a fairly composed game, whereas croatia were out on their asses by the pens.

Nice semi finals. Not the usual suspects like Brazil, Germany or Italy but also no lucky outsiders that would just get obliterated in the semis. Teams with tradition and that know how to play soccer. All the matches should be good.

Is this some sort of putting off future problems for the moment by focusing on what's at hand psyche up, cuz i dunno how, where, why , when croatia is a larger threat than liberte, fraternite, egalite or monk beer kingdom.

i reckon we'll be on the right side of the billy big bollock conundrum that wasted our "golden generation" for the first time in forever against belgium/france and likely to get a better relative performance out of our squad than them. might not be enough but you never know.

croatia will die for every blade of grass though and they have the midfield to make the most of the space that jesse and dele vacate.

england belgium would be a straight up bizarro prem match but the five day napoleonic hype frigate that would lead up to england france would be something else. let's hope either is the final not that fucking horrible loser match on saturday.

My hot takes from the quarter finals still slightly drunk.

England was in complete control. They dominated Sweden in every aspect of the game. I am still not impressed by their build up play and their ability to break down a defense, but Sweden was no match for them.

Croatia-Russia was a weird game. Not a lot of chances created and the Russians were just incredibly aggressive against the ball.

I think England-Croatia is a complete toss up. Croatia with back to back games where they had do go all out for 120 minutes while England was able to take their foot off the gas pedal after 60 minutes. But I would give Croatia the edge when it comes to individual talent.
Let's see if Subasic will be able to play. It looked like he pulled his hamstring and was able to keep going thanks to adrenaline.

Your apology will do.

I'm as peeved with Neymar as everyone else and maybe this was a blessing so we get this shit out of the game. But let's just admit Fifa was sending a message with those no calls. The ref didn't even bother going to the vid even though the VAR room was clearly unsure.

What's the point of VAR if this shit is going to continue to happen? Fifa is corrupt as fuck and this ruins the game as much as Neymars diving.

You mean like the greatest futbol team to never win in the 82 brazilian squad where Zico kept getting brutalized? or Pele against England in 1966 basically breaking his legs to the point he said he'd never play in another world cup?

Yeah tell me about it. But anyways, it's not about that. It's about VAR was supposed to change things, and it didn't. FiFA corrupt as ever.

You mean Bulgaria?  Actually probably was the English too, but I remember reading the Bulgarians famously kicked the tar out of him.  And, the greatest team did win the 1982 cup, my friend.   :miyamoto You got us back when Baggio flubbed in 94.
But yeah, Neymar should have been awarded the penalty with the VAR system - no argument there.

Much like Holland in 2014. Pretty lucky all tournament and if Robben hadnt missed we would have won.
