Your enthusiasm partly hyped me for this game. But it is what it is. I'm always for shelving/selling games if you don't enjoy them. No point in forcing yourselves to do something you're meant to enjoy.

Anyways it seems nice and relaxing, although it seems there is little do do besides catching bugs and fish in the beginning? I guess it will ramp up after some time.

What sucks a bit is that the game is always synchronized to the system clock. I always play at night so my island is always at night. I feel like a weirdo to run errants while everybody else is chilling

I know that I can change the system time, but that feels like cheating a bit. Although I guess this is a series staples and it probably is pretty cool to check the game out at various times of the day, if you have the time to do that. I guess I'll have to get used to occasionally changing the system time. Won't change the date though. Are there any negative side effects to manipulating the clock?

can't sell on sundays. check your shop in the morning and afternoon to see the buy prices monday-saturday and usually people online will post their dodo code if they have high prices.

Also this "Buy Max" "Sell Max" button in the bell keypad screen is a GODSEND. For turnips it even detects the max you can carry. No more calculating ahead of time, fucking it up, and having to go through Joan's whole dialog thing again to buy N-1 turnips!

Nope. My general strategy in every AC game is to blindly donate everything possible, and selling the rest... In NL using this method, I completed the fossil collection at the museum after about two months.
