Funny, after reading that, I read a BBC article that kind of contradicts it. He claims that you couldn't get a corpse to stand up like that. However, I also read a BBC article in which it claims a picture with a corpse is being propped by a stand, so... I don't know what to believe.

You know what else they can’t do?  Support themselves to stand.

Leaning a corpse up against a stand just is not enough to keep it upright. It’s not possible, nor was it what these stands were used for.
