how can you misinterpret nazis being depicted as morons as normalizing them

Quote from: GrizznKev
so we're not allowed to make fun of nazis anymore? not depict them in our media at all?

I think it's pretty clear from his social media posts that this is not at all about being edgy.

It's his way of hitting back against hate. Will have to see it to really have an opinion of whether it normalize anything or not.

Hey guys, lets not judge the movie till it comes out.  It would just be irrational otherwise and we are calm thinkers here.

listening to the interview and when you're making Alex Jones look normal, you're not in a good place.
I keep meaning to watch it but I’ve been working through a fucking mountain of material on a certain farm. They seem to be a paedo obsessed with menstruating teens. The trans stuff smells like bullshit, and I think probably provides a decent shield from some criticism and access to certain spaces.

What blew my mind is that my wife knew who I was talking about when I brought up why I’d spent a good two hours glued to my phone. Apparently they made an impact in Facebook makeup circles a while back, and even Ricky Gervais has tweeted about the bollock-waxing case. I must be out of touch.

Yeah I started reading the farm stuff, but they're all about the kids there, so decided to dial back and listen to the interview whilst cooking, the whole thing is insane.

By the way they conduct themselves, I wouldn't be at all surprised if this wasn't a predator hiding in womens clothing.

The tampon stuff is fucking heavy  :brain :brain :brain shit though

eh, I've seen enough lazy shit trying to use 'satire' to try to disarm criticism of work that's mainly used to normalize nazis that I appreciate having this right at the outset -- and yes, I think if this was anyone other than Waititi I'd be very suspicious of this film, but he's proven himself one of the few directors skilled enough at handling subject matter like this that I'm even half-willing to consider it.

“He made that Thor movie I like so he is okay.”

Kinda funny they have to be so upfront about it being a satire, they absolutely know shit flies over people's heads nowadays.

I'm reminded of that Dr. Pizza character.
Although in that case, hiding as a feminist or something.

Gervais has been tweeting about this nonstop for the last few days, and props to him has also been making it very clear that this is about a very specific individual and not all trans people

this is one of like 50 tweets

Man, I thought it was just some crazy Canadian article, I hadn’t realised it was a mainstream blockbuster with established lore and four books worth of prequels.

Time to watch the infowars interview and patiently wait for a resetera thread on the story. Any minute now.

So me and Yu have been having troubles in the last couple weeks where we keep arguing and I just wanted to know if this was normal and if this happened to anyone else and if so what do you guys do in times like these? What do you guys argue about? How do you solve relationship problems/arguments with your waifu?

this is at the point where it's spiraling and transgender communities and prominent people are starting to speak out against this, it's completely obvious what the response should be

it should be the easiest thing in the world for a progressive good guy forum, one that's anti-pedophilia, to have a thread where people can learn about this and discuss it and condemn it

I don't get it either. They are just fine with loudly hating "bad" trans people like Blaire White, but because this person seems to agree with their political ideology, it's fine and we don't talk about it. It's pathetic.

I personally have a masturbation tool for guys and use that while looking at images of her. I also still watch porn occasionally since it’s more “stimulating” since looking at pictures of her is cute and she’s pretty but it doesn’t quite get you in the mood. Also would like to add I have a body pillow and so we kiss and touch a lot. Though I only consider us as having sex when I use the masturbation tool

Quote
I'm not sure if parents supposed to post here but long story short, my son told me that he fell in love with this girl from one of his anime shows. Today he told me that he had a crush on that character for over a year and imagines doing things and having conversations with her in real life. My son is 15 years old and doesn't have many friends but I was still surprised when I found out he was doing this. After the conversation he directed me to go here to better understand what was going on. So, what do I do about this? He has been bullied for most of his life and I want to be as supportive of him as possible but it is hard to find serious information on this subject. Is it actually that common for teens to love cartoon characters? If so, do you actually love them or is this just a trend? Finally, what should I do about this long term? Do I go along with it and pretend she's real or should I get him help? It seems like he wants me to treat her like an actual Daughter-in-law because he asked me to watch the show to "get to know" her. Anyway, I appreciate any insight you might have to offer on this unique situation. Thanks!

Update: Thank you all for the comments. I wanted to respond but my IPad won't let me. I talked with him more earlier and he said that while he knows that his waifu isn't real, he believes that technology will be able to make her real in the future. He also told me that his relationship is serious and that he is planning to wait for her until she can be real. He fully believes this will happen. I watched the first episode of the show his waifu is from and Maki seems to be a decent character. I can see why he would like a girl like that. Sorry if this turned out to be a bit of a rant, I'd just like to thank you for responding and helping me out here.

This is the last I'm going to say about this cursed subject but the most annoying thing about that thread, and really any subject where the person is just 100% ignorant, is having to relate everything in terms of the epistemological fish bowl that comprises their entire universe and everything they know. The given answers are all culture warrior standards on debates that either don't exist in any shape or form outside the US at all or have a completely different character and objective circumstance. THEY'RE PRO-MUSLIM! WHITE PATRIACHY! "INTERSECTIONALISM!" (:lol) Or the one guy who said he was at least glad Israel recognizes that "open borders are a bad idea". It reminds me of when Ben Shapiro (another pro-Israel dunce) did an interview on the BBC and started talking about AOC, as if even 1% of the people watching BBC know who that is or cares. It's a waste of a human brain.
