I only jerk off to Garfield cartoons, I think this is considered normal.

It's always interesting how the people on ResetERA.com who get DEATH THREATS or "noticed by KiwiFarms" or whatever mundane thing they're sharing publicly with the forum are people with super specific usernames and even more specific identifying traits they plaster on every account.
Pardon?
This forum is ill equipped to protect marginalized members from both internal and external threats. This forum is easy to join and publicly viewable. It's naive to think that people harassing Xaszatm, or enabling others to, aren't members here. There is definitely a community problem because there are gators/altright people/sympathizers on here and it's easy for them to get in. I'm not saying there is anything you or the rest of the moderation team can do to punish people outside the forum, just acknowledging the bigger problems here.Did a search for my username on Google and KF might have their eyes on me. Oh joy.

DONT VICTIM BLAME BENJI! Mods, Halp.
So sorry to hear what happened to you Xaszatm. If you don't mind, could be PM me how (you think) they got your email address. I'm worried about any of us possibly being attacked in such a manner.

What is wrong with the “GIMP” name?If English is not your first language, then you may not have realised that the word “gimp” is problematic. In some countries it is considered a slur against disabled people and a playground insult directed at unpopular children. It can also be linked to certain “after dark” activities performed by consenting adults. You may think that this is “political correctness gone mad” and that those who have been complaining about it for more than a decade are “over-sensitive”, but this choice does have real-life consequences. In addition to the pain it can cause to marginalized communities many of us have our own free software advocacy stories about the GNU Image Manipulation Program not being taken seriously as an option by bosses or colleagues in professional settings.Educational institutions and public libraries may feel unable to provide or recommend the program to students due to possible legal or moral concerns. It can also be difficult for a teacher to keep a class of school-age children disciplined and focussed if they are distracted by the name of the computer program they have been asked to use.We believe free software should be accessible to everyone, and in this case a re-brand is both a desirable and very straightforward fix that could attract a whole new generation of users and contributors.
What initially motivated you to fork?In recent versions of the upstream software you may have noticed that the window titles have switched to “GNU Image Manipulation Program” and the documentation suggests expanding the acronym as a work-around for the bad name. However, we do not think that adequately addresses the issue because the website domain, documentation and wider community still refers to it as “the Gimp” just as they have done for the last two decades.Feature requests have been raised about the problem multiple times on the project’s communication channels over the last 13 years, but each time they are ignored, dismissed and/or the discussions get spammed by those with strong political views. It is unfortunate that we have to fork the whole project to change the name, but we feel that discussions about the issue are at an impasse and that this is the most positive way forward.
What if I find the word “Glimpse” offensive? This seems unlikely given we checked its meaning in every known language, but if you have a legitimate concern then let us know.If you are offended by the fact we renamed the project, we suggest you continue using the GNU Image Manipulation Program instead of annoying our contributors and making more work for our moderators.
We also want to make it clear that we value and encourage diverse representation in leadership positions within our community, and we believe that is the best way to form a code of conduct that protects all contributors, promotes wider participation and ensures the rules are fairly enforced. At this early stage our initial governance team is formed entirely of individuals from marginalized communities, and that makes our project very atypical. That emerged organically as a result of the project starting on the fediverse. We know how important it is to enact the right code of conduct and enforce the rules properly. We want to promote a safe and inclusive environment, not a toxic one. If you have ideas to help us do that and want to get involved with this discussion then please join us in the project’s communication channels.
Code of ConductOur PledgeIn the interest of fostering an open and welcoming environment, we as contributors and maintainers pledge to making participation in our project and our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation. Our StandardsExamples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include: Using welcoming and inclusive language Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences Gracefully accepting constructive criticism Focusing on what is best for the community Showing empathy towards other community membersExamples of unacceptable behavior by participants include: The use of sexualized language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention or advances Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks Public or private harassment Publishing others’ private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional settingOur ResponsibilitiesProject maintainers are responsible for clarifying the standards of acceptable behavior and are expected to take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior.Project maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that are not aligned to this Code of Conduct, or to ban temporarily or permanently any contributor for other behaviors that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.ScopeThis Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces, and it also applies when an individual is representing the project or its community in public spaces. Examples of representing a project or community include using an official project e-mail address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed representative at an online or offline event. Representation of a project may be further defined and clarified by project maintainers.

Ah yes, the fetish of cleavage and short shorts. How vile. It bugs me how those are seen as "wrong." I'm not a clothing designer nor do I know much about fashion but I think this looks good.(Image removed from quote.)
It must be hard for resetera to realize that they're aren't the target demo for a game.

QuoteSeems like a lot of transphobes bought this game recently to support the devs shitty views. Which is really worrying me. What kind of message does this send? Be a shitty person and get an influx of asshole dollars? That's the message they want to send, yeah. And it works, too, at least some of the time. 3D Realms took it to heart. It's why GOG and CDP Red behaved the way they did last year. They outright threw their own customers under the bus to score points with the alt-right.I was a big customer of GOG for ten years, from before they even opened their doors to the public up until they told me that my money wasn't good enough for them anymore. It's fine for them, though. They have the customers they really wanted.

OFFICIAL STAFF COMMUNICATIONLet's drop the hot takes and shitposts, please. Let's all try to keep discussion healthy, not antagonize and escalate, and if needed, the ignore function is there.
User Banned (1 week): Trolling and antagonist posting throughout this thread; history of similar behaviorWhy would I want anyone to hate John Wick? He's a loveable mass murderer that if he existed in real life would obviously be celebrated by everyone on this board? Right? Right! We should never examine the psychological effecs of glamorizing gun violence in films like John Wick. He is too likeable.

User Banned (Duration Pending): Dismissing Concerns of Human Rights Violations and Inflammatory False Equivalence Over Multiple PostsQuoteThere are interviews with people who have traveled to China to receive kidneys and livers in 2 weeks time. It's well known how fast it is procure there. It's impossible to get organs that fast in any other Western nation. China is definitely killing people for these organs. You can't think of any other explanation? Find some global data and let's see how China compares to other middle and low income countries. If they're really this huge outlier you might even convince me they'd up to no good. But it's easy to believe they really are that much faster at legitimate organ donation because they're so fast at everything else - construction pace is ridiculous.

User Banned (1 Day): Inflammatory accusationsIf you are still a Kanye fan you are at least partway MAGA yourself. He rubbed his body on Trump's body in the oval office while wearing a MAGA hat and lecturing us about how we need to do more to lift Trump up. Even Kid Rock had more dignity.
Cherry Coke over Cherry Pepsi.
I love how there's some poster/mod who gets triggered by negative uses of "AIDS" which is a well known catch phrase by white supremacist icon Rich Evans.

I don't have any caps or exact numbers but that's actually a pretty low numbers of guests. It's pretty common to have 50 and more.Edit : Oh you meant for this specific topic. I dunno. Seems pretty normal to me. There's 63 guests for the whole board right now. I'm actually surprised other threads might draw more of a crowd to be honest.
Ohh snap I called Shinobi a shill on twitter and he sent his cronies after me!
I still don't even know what the deal is with this game, isn't it a significant other of the dev who is phobic and not any of the devs themselves?
