For someone who's entrenched so far into their comfortable-yet-lonely lifestyle the notion that they could do all that's required of them (find new hobbies, get fit, get a job, move house, develop a better personality, etc) and still find themselves in the same position as before (or worse if they find themselves in a negative relationship) likely has a fair chance of sapping the motivation to make those changes in the first place.

If it was bad form, it was bad form. I try not to think if someone "deserves it" then it's okay, because that mentality is what leads to RE's behavior. I just didn't think it was bad form because, like all the other PM's I've posted, nothing was in there I thought they would hope stayed private. It was just an "I think you're a hypocrite" message, and that didn't seem like something he would feel has to stay private. If he'd told me about having depression or something, I wouldn't have shared it.
