I’m not a lawyer, so I could never tell if something is for or against Vic case. The big problem following this case is that most people involved and sharing information are scumbags. Even the lawyers commenting about this are assholes.
I can't believe he raised $200k despite being a 'literally who?' animu dubber. From what I've seen there's a high probability he's going to win. The people being sued are typical twitter SJWs who just throw around accusations without any basis in reality, kinda like ResetEra calling everyone a Nazi
I feel the people involved in Vic side are not exactly trustworthy individuals either. You know about law Resetbanbot?
Any lawyer worth their salt would never publicly comment on cases like this, especially so early, especially on twitter. Serious lawyers just cringe at this shit. I'm not a Texas-specialized lawyer but this will be a long and painful process that may involve modifications to the defendants, or refiling the suit entirely. It is not only normal, but effectively an obligation of a defense lawyer to file motions to dismiss at any and all opportunities, even if the chances of it being granted are basically zero.
Maybe I'll walk back my statement about "high probability" to 50/50, it depends if you're just counting the odds of this case, or all potential future cases/re-filings. Vic certainly has a war-chest to keep this going for years. At a certain point settlement could become a thing, especially when it gets closer to discovery. Civil suits are a money game, with the usual cost-benefit analysis.
