No reasonable person wants to have a conversation with anyone on 8Chan. These people don't gravitate to that site because free speech has been squelched elsewhere, but because polite society doesn't think anything they say is worth any value. The issue is that there are an infinite amount of hovels for these people to go to once normal people shun them. I'm all for shutting 8Chan down, but I don't think it will do anything. These sites have no filtering system because they are the bottom of the barrel - you can have a legitimate conversation about the issues of large scale and rapid demographic change in a country like America, but then you get all the bullshit about how other races are subhuman, and these sites are not equipped with enough reasonable people to have a robust enough system to shun that dipshittery, because you're already at the bottom. Who the fuck wants to talk to race realist fuckwits?
I think the only solution is to enable mainstream platforms like Twitter to have that filtering mechanism to find actual valuable, meaningful conversations even if they're controversial or unpopular. Twitter is mostly a place for people to retweet kneejerk reactionary bullshit to their in-group. "Hey everyone, look what this nazi piece of shit said." or "Look at these crazy SJWs". I think that's the best way to get less people funnelling into crazy chans and getting radicalized. You can absolutely change the hearts and minds of people by simply engaging with them.
