Does Cindi really change her mind that often on issues or is Stro just on one?

Much like a politician I "evolve" on the issues.

For instance, after Ferguson and seeing white people defend black people getting killed and my life experience with white people I started to get racist against white people. Like, literal hate. I said stuff like all white people are racist and called them devils. I had a lot of hate and anger in my heart. The election 2016 happened and I realized how harmful that rhetoric is and renounced my racism.

I definitely change stances but each "phase" is absolutely real.

There's no changing my mind on guns and being fat though. I was fat a lot of my life. There's nothing to convince me fat acceptance is a good movement. And there's nothing that can change my mind on guns because in order to do that  you'd have to change my mind on governments, states, and power.

So they're right in that I can change opinions a lot. But they're wrong in that I do that with every single thing.

I'm also not convinced I change my mind on things more than any other person. I just write my thoughts out loud more than others, and tend to have an fiery, passionate personality so I tend to 100 in things a lot. So it's out in the open. Meanwhile with others it's more subdued and they keep it to themselves. Something else to "evolve" on.

Cindi: Guns are great and you'll never convince me otherwise

They believe it's the newest transphobic trend. No idea if it's actually a thing. If you're not certain you're supposed to use neutral pronouns, wasn't that the whole idea?

Quote
there's a thing amongst transphobic people to use neutral pronouns like that to indirectly misgender people so they can be like "no, see, i never called them a man! i just refuse to acknowledge them as women" so that part isn't really baseless even if i think the larger take is bad

Are you one of those people who want guns to protect themselves from the government?

Not entirely. I just don't expect the government to protect me.

The American government is a see saw. We went from fucking Obama to Trump after all. We've spent the entirety of the decade bemoaning the incompetence of the police and their corruption. ICE are currently Devil #1. That's a part of the state. As a black trans woman why in the world would I trust a rapidly shifting, always changing state to look out for my well being from harm? Especially when historically the state routinely goes after those groups?

Therefore you have guns as a self defense tool. The day Trump was elected President was the day I became pro-gun. Pulse shooting helped too.

FBI has gone after more pro-black activists than domestic terrorists so the skepticism isn't wrong and is well placed.

The fat acceptance movement is just topical. Deal with it. That article is on fucking HuffPo. Fat can be beautiful and not judging people for being fat is a good movement to have. All people are human. But what we're talking about are fatties are trying to convince everyone being 400 lb is a healthy life choice and that being morbidly obese is normal.

someone post this article on reeee https://www.theguardian.com/media/2013/apr/12/news-is-bad-rolf-dobelli
Well, if you're getting your news from a far left agenda driven and completely biased source like The Guardian, then of course you're going to find the news makes you depressed and anxious. Although, if you're the kind of person who agrees with The Guardian, then anxiety is probably just your daily life.

instead this article is a series of sob stories intermixed with "diets don't work" (uh yeah it's a lifestyle change), "some doctors say some fat people are healthy enough," and "fat activism is a good thing"

it desperately needed some kind of actual data summed up in the end and bullet pointed but no it just farts out with  :social anecdotes

jesus all these takes are terribly bad.

Everyone with a functioning brain had figured out that Microsoft moved their shit to GamePass ages ago because that's the only place where their mediocre first party output would be competitive.
Gears is the first 'big AAA' game out the door in time for the holiday season after the usual summer drought. It was obviously going to do a well as an essentially 'free download' for Xbox owners.

More important is its staying power. Will Gears 5 hang on after COD and other holiday titles are released. Does it have 'legs'.
Or is GamePass going to be like the Netflix model of whatever is trending for two weeks and will the player base drop off so fast the real monetization doesn't get off the ground.
Which is currently the biggest risk for this business model and something EA is already struggling with.

When I used "they" as a way to refer to an individual on reeeeeset, Incelspreadsheet accused me of 'gender neutraling' the person and said is was weird to use it.

I like using 'they' for all people, because I can't be bothered to learn every persons pronoun and I thought it would eliminate confusion or offense. But no, nothing is ever good enough for those mentally ill rejects.

Unless I know for sure what pronouns they prefer, using they/their is all I do.

Also, I'm not going to click through to read a bio/profile to figure it out.

Times I read about preferred pronouns on the internet and the handwringing involved: 10 million times

How often did I encounter that problem in real life? Never.

Times I read about preferred pronouns on the internet and the handwringing involved: 10 million times

How often did I encounter that problem in real life? Never.

I've encountered it quite a lot. The gender binary stuff never bugs me. You want your pronouns to be he/him or her/she? Great, I'll do my best to remember that.

You want to go by they/them or xir/xe or whatever? Nah. I'll just use your name when referring to you and minimize having to interact with you because you're stupid.

I'm curious about playing nonbinary chicken on twitter

like exactly how far can you go before they realize you're a troll

I'm thinking you could get away with grey/grem since you could cite a site with it and make up a story about how the moment you saw it you felt the words speaking to you

Just ignore them and it'll go away like the fad it is. They thrive on attention and controversy, so just don't give it to them
