RE realizes in that their overly militant attitude in “combating climate change future” they are so frothing over that they won’t be allowed to sit online all day on their phones/PCs posting on RE, or never leaving the house depending on the charity of others, and they will actually have to contribute to the greater good (aka actual employment). Also forget about movies and video games pretty sure they contribute to climate change also, yes even the MCU and the Nintendo.

It’s just not going to be eating “beyond” chicken tendys and not owning a car.

When the only legal avenues to punish him run through the GOP, and the GOP is disloyal to the country, that's called a coup d'etat.

The question is when people will realize that the GOP is waging war against America. Only then can we see Republicans treated appropriately.

According to people who saw the spoilers for the movie he is shown to have incel like sentiments in the film and barely has his world view changed throughout the film. If thats correct then thats the difference, the glorification of incels, a group who have spawned mass murderers before. However as I've said before in this thread, I haven't seen the spoilers or the actual finished product so I'm not saying definitively that the movie does have a dangerous message. Its kinda like schrodinger's psychopath currently

Apparently incels. Personally the concept of it being inspiration of a mass shooting is less what I'm worried about, though it is a possibility, and more that it could normalise to a degree incel ideas by making them more palatable through the use of a well known and well loved character being framed as sympathetic and left unchallenged as he spreads similar sentiments. Hopefully that isn't what the movie does and its just a good Joker movie
Quote
While I don't think any similarities in idealogy the Joker may or may not have with incels in the movie would be on purpose, if it was it is possible they did it on purpose for free marketing via the backlash
Quote
Sympathetic villains are fine as long as the movie makes it clear they're still in the wrong, it's if, keyword if, the movie makes it seem like they are in the right that getz people worried.
Quote
I don't think it's mass shootings in particular that anyone should worry about with this movie, more just if it does glorify incel or alt right idealogy then it could bring more people to those movements. Though the movie could end up not doing that so it could all be fine, so it's really just a watch and wait and see the final product before making definitive statements sorta thing
Quote
"Sad white man kills people because life didn't go his way." It's kind of the hottest thing these days in terms of mass murder.

Mental illness has nothing to do with most mass shootings today. They're motivated politically and emotionally, but these people aren't "crazy." They're making a choice, much like the Joker does in this film. Is the film likely to inspire violence? As tempting as it is to say yes, since we've already had one Joker-themed mass shooting at a Batman movie in the past, I would say it's more likely that it becomes adopted as a totem of the incel/white nationalist movement. Not because the film espouses their values but because it makes no judgment on those values, perhaps assuming that the audience will automatically know that what the Joker does is morally wrong. But leaving something that charged up to interpretation is inviting that kind of co-opting, as is evidenced by the adoption of The Matrix, a fairly upfront trans narrative written and directed by two trans women, being adopted by misogynist man-children as their metaphor of "wokeness" in the form of the Brain Force Plus.

They desperately want that Joker movie to inspire violence just so they can crow about it.  “We told you so, we knew that it would inspire violence from INCELS.  Time to cancel these DC movies, as they’ve been arguing in bad faith and the conversation around them is no longer productive.”

FACT CHECK: The Joker is not in The Dark Knight Rises, the film at which the Aurora shooting occurred. And Holmes had been planning a shooting for over ten years.

Likely inspired by Jack Nicholson's pro-Trump alt-right Joker in 1989's Batman film.

Now it seems nowadays that's what the left gets upset over. Its weird how it flipped in the last 25 years.

I don't want to get into the weeds about who is "actually left" or whatever, but people like Tipper Gore and her husband, Hillary Clinton and Joe Lieberman were all very much at the forefront of the movements against (or rather in favor of federal regulation of) music and video games in the 1980s/1990s.

The American progressive movement has always had deep Social Gospel roots. Rather infamously, prohibition was also a "progressive" cause du jour at the start of that century along with eugenics and corporate nationalization of the economy.

Sure but they're literally printing a transparently invented and redundant incel conspiracy theory as an insider scoop. A five year old could see through that. Never heard of the site until now so maybe this isn't representative but if it is it's in the nonsense category inhabited by Alex Jones and it reeks of mysoginy as well as poorly executed falsehood.

Even if you happen to be a "Disney is trying to turn me gay and give Luke Skywalker two vajingles " true believer - presumably you'd still want your news to be factual in basis, no?

Or at least more sophisticated falsehoods instead of breathless gator talking points mashed into a panicked conclusion.

Also if I were writing a "news scoop" and cited "the YouTuber" five times as my primary source I'd probably die of shame or at least switch to a synonym every now and then like, "the streamer" or "the insider"

Just like our dying biosphere, there are certain tipping points where certain events tend to ensure bigger things happen later, and consequently the present starts seeing some wild changes relative to what's already happened.

So yeah, I do have more thoughts on this somewhat sociopathic rule of waiting for the bottom to fall out historically before forcefully sounding the public alarm, but I don't care about that convo right now. Only focused right now on the now and anticipating for the future in the face of Watergate on traitorous steroids.

First things first, I better start seeing inherent contempts fly. And all of the committees need to officially join themselves to the judiciary's impeachment., No floor vote yet obviously, but a more united front instead of this disparate discombobulated mess that even the GOP was trying to argue about in legal documents. Not to mention how so many crimes seem to be committed especially after other potential tipping points kept getting drowned by the Democrats themselves...

Whoops, sorry, focusing on the now. Ahem, tomorrow should be interesting. And obviously Thursday could be historic one way or the other. We shall see.

and i bought the game like a few month ago thanks to recommendations here.... ugh

Honestly, I'm baffled anyone who draws cutesy anime art can be such a bigot.
Quote
Yup, I was a huge fan of this game back when it came out and it's one 2 games on Steam I got all the achievements for... me and a few other trans ppl left the community back in April after this first came to light.
Quote
This is really disappointing, I haven't played the game but I know trans people who liked it and recommended it before.
Quote
What’s worse is that these people are part of the lgbt community.

Other than a few journalists who use Twitter to break stories does anything good come from Twitter?

Maybe they're gunning for the Ion Fury crowd.

Fuck. I'm trans, and I loved this game. I was going to do the postgame, but now I'll just uninstall it instead. -_-
Quote
This ended on my wishlist at some point. Guess it's going to be removed now
Quote
Why's it always the games on my steam wishlist? damn. Good thing I procrastinated long enough to not buy either this or Ion Fury.
Quote
I know it's not the same since I'm not trans myself, but the amount of time I put into creating fan works and talking about the game here feels disgusting in hindsight. I remember using all of my winter break in January painting a piece of fan art for the game, putting all of my energy in doing it in a way that stressed me out to get looking right and detailed. Today I had to purge it from my galleries to not promote the game and all that effort feels wasted.

Shit really sucks, especially when the game was so impactful.
Quote
Well that's one game off my wishlist. I feel bad for anybody who played it without knowing they're supporting a TERF.
stay safe

:badass

Now they are even talking like Trump.

BenjiSales new twitter header is pretty fucking gay NGL. It worries me the amount of attention a boy reading blogs can get, people are too stupid to see that he only works in a gamestop/bestbuy.

Saying that analytics for video games is lower than journalism so guess he should be commended for at least finding a place he can thrive talking out his ass.

One thing on ERA he always hated was when you called him a liar, but what he is doing is literally calculated lying.

Also as for resetera users using banbot to out others that's clearly what banbot wanted right?

Also oni-link system has not posted on twitter for over a month, whoever is running that system is keeping strong so good for them.

Shouldn't be surprised by the people that had Persona 5 in the list of their top 10 rpgs of all time, but lol at all these people choosing LA over LttP. Recency bias is a big thing with these lot.
