The other day, I called my friend and asked her if she would be down to watch a bunch of video game porn with me so I could write about it.

I am blessed to have the kind of friends who would not only say yes to this kind of thing, but would actively plan a beer-and-porn evening where I could also snuggle up with her gigantic fluffy beast of a dog. Before you all start making creepy comments, the porn wasn’t remotely sexy. It was hilarious, and I wanted someone else to laugh at how bad it was. Plus, my friend had been in porn herself, too. I wanted her expertise. And also to cuddle her dog

That guy was totally using the dog to hide his boner.

what happened to that actress?
(Image removed from quote.)

What weird era wrongthink have I stumbled on now?
This dude asks a prdetty valid question, because that looks a lot like someone who has had work done, and having cosmetic work done is pretty commonplace for hollywood actors and the threads full of people just going "they got older AND NOTHING MORE, what are you implying?"

An interesting question for ERA folks: Now that this has happened, will the comments for every forum post about Kotaku articles be littered with jokes about pedophiles and comments saying they won't read because of this particular thing a la THQ/8chan, and will those comments be allowed? I'm asking seriously. If any outlet deserves it after this, it's Kotaku tbh

My favourite attempt to get "on the right side of history" from the Kotaku CP thread.

It's "hate Kotaku for writing about something that exists" time.

Edit: WTF, the images, had them turned off at work.

Reading a clearly marked NSFW thread that mentions possible CP at work. Somehow I think their "work" is located in their parents' basement and doesn't involve actual work.

The proliferation of minors as key characters in fiction probably has as much to do with it than anything else IMO. This sort of media will follow nearly anything that reaches sufficient popularity and that popular media keeps children front and center.

I’d say it’s certainly got more merit to bring up than any other reason people complain about Kotaku, mind. But there’s a significant gap between posting this shit like this, and actively linking to a site - and then posting on the site - where people share even worse things and are intentionally seeking that worse stuff out. Not to mention there’s a lot more going on with 8chan that’s horrible than just that, which is somehow possible.

How is kotaku posting CP is not as bad as the site you were bitching about posting CP?

We began with some extremely terrible Harry Potter porn.

...

It would have been quite an entertaining watch if it wasn’t for the utter disregard for accuracy.

:ryker

Quote
Hermione and Crabbe met up in the Gryffindor common room (which is unlikely, as Crabbe would need the password) and then had sex on the sofa in front of the fire. Crabbe magically removed Hermione’s uniform with a wordless spell (which is magic far too advanced for Crabbe) and then, at the end, ejaculated a weird, stringy slime onto her. In another scene, Draco rimmed Cho Chang in the hospital while Ron and Hermione had a cheeky shag next door (which seems logistically unlikely, not to mention unhygienic).

Finally, Harry got into the girls’ dormitory to get a blowjob from Ginny (impossible, since it’s enchanted against boys—the dormitory, that is, not Ginny’s vagina). All the while, Cho and Hermione lay fully naked on top of their bedsheets, and at the end Harry transformed into Draco and looked right at the camera.

If anyone actually manages to find any of that sexy, I take my hat off to them. Especially as none of the female models had clitorises.

Then, we found some Zelda porn. It’s hardly surprising that these videos turned Link into a flat-assed dude with the sexual prowess of a spoon, a dick as thick as a forearm, and a shaft that flopped around at the tip like a fancy vacuum cleaner attachment. That’s what porn seems to require from men, and it’s disappointing. Link is pretty sexy with his clothes on, after all. Can’t we make him a little more of a hunk in porn?

This is all part of the problem with the culture that developed around rule34. Without clearly defined laws in the US that note fictional depictions of child pornography the same as actual child pornography, the heavy influence of the hentai industry which is just rife with stuff like this, and the portion of the audience that is legitimately underage, reaching that point in their lives that they're horny and simply seeking out pornography for things they've become attracted to, all of this has gone unchecked for too long.

Quote
Exactly this. It's a significant problem and plenty of posts here are exemplifying the 'head in the sand' attitude that allows it to proliferate.

User Banned (3 days): antagonizing other users

Amazing what PoliERA posters will defend if it means getting to shit on Sanders just that little bit more.

In regards to the Iowa poll, there's no denying it's a horrible result for Sanders, considering how he almost won the state last time and how good it should be for him. Pundits beating the dead 'maybe he should drop out' horse is pretty ludicrous though, when one of the overlooked parts of that poll is Harris' abysmal performance, and just generally how she's managed to slip behind Buttigieg in the RCP national average. If there are to be calls for any of the top contenders to drop out, it should probably be for her, and even then it'd be pretty stupid when there are a small army of candidates doing even worse than her.
User Banned (5 Days): Hostility Over Multiple Posts; Prior Bans for Hostility

Come on this is a terrible fucking post. Ah yes saying the word impeachment is enough. Wow.

Is it so fucking hard for her to say out loud and definitively confirm, yes we are moving forward with formal impeachment proceedings.

Like what the fuck.

Your stupid ass scenario you just laid out is worthy of all of the god damn criticism.

Oh but she said the word impeachment so please calm down.

I also want to take a moment to remind the viewing audience, to include all the lurkers from resetera, neogaf, and elsewhere, that while Alvin and the Chipmunks, to include the Chipettes, are 8 years old in chipmunk age, this makes them 200+ years old in human years and thus an image of the chipmunks getting head from their analogous female counterparts is perfectly legal and appropriate for posting in articles on gaming sites.
