I’d say it’s certainly got more merit to bring up than any other reason people complain about Kotaku, mind. But there’s a significant gap between posting this shit like this, and actively linking to a site - and then posting on the site - where people share even worse things and are intentionally seeking that worse stuff out. Not to mention there’s a lot more going on with 8chan that’s horrible than just that, which is somehow possible.

This is all part of the problem with the culture that developed around rule34. Without clearly defined laws in the US that note fictional depictions of child pornography the same as actual child pornography, the heavy influence of the hentai industry which is just rife with stuff like this, and the portion of the audience that is legitimately underage, reaching that point in their lives that they're horny and simply seeking out pornography for things they've become attracted to, all of this has gone unchecked for too long.
