The thought that in a universe that's 13.8 billion years old, two sufficiently advanced species evolved at the same time at locations sufficiently close together to allow them to travel between their respective solar systems is absurd.

What about the thought that in this 13.8b y/o universe a species evolved a hole we can pork?

So some of the request from the Hong Kong protesters (independent queries of police brutalities) i can understand and support, but total separation and waving a UK/US flag? I don't really know what they were smoking. Imagine a singaporean in Singapore waving a Malaysia flag protesting for Singapore to be back in Malaysia again (Fun fact: Singapore used to be a state of Malaysia until it was kicked out and went independent in 1965), that dude will literally be arrested and trialed as a 'foreign agent'.
Sure, yes, makes total sense. That'd be absurd to allow that.

My family and friends in Hong Kong are being bullied by the police thread. I've made plenty of threats in the OT forums for the past few months and at most I get maybe 3-4 pages. I'm glad to see that this has gotten major coverage everywhere and especially on ERA.

Like read folks.

OP basically admits he didn't help with the house or kids until his wife said she wanted to break up.

You know you’re a terrible person when so little people are responding to your aggro posts that you have to scream into the ether repeatedly, getting more and more outrageous towards the OP, until you gain the attention that you came here for.

With this much personal post count in a single thread, in such a small frame of time, you’d think it was a E3 hype thread. Y’know, not a guy sharing his personal piece on his marriage.

I think what scares me is Russians hacking into voting machines. The way the electoral college works, they wouldn't need to hack into every state to turn an election. Furthermore you can't rely on anybody in the Trump admin or GOP to do the right thing and prevent election interference. They are so corrupt, they might even facilitate the meddling.

I would like to believe Russia's other strategy of polluting social media won't work a second time around though. People can smell a bot from a mile away.
Quote from: Xaszatm, crazy nutjob
No, while there might be some actual voter tampering, that's not what they did last time. I'm talking about their extreme invasive propaganda and trolling campaign, something they absolutely did last time. Coupled with the fact that they were going around looking for dirt on Biden its obvious they will not stoop to any level they can. That is what they have done, are doing, and will do.

But hey, I"m just a crazy nutjob apparently.
Quote from: BDS
I would be fascinated to know where this "US military would immediately abandon Trump if he stayed in office" thing comes from. Is it just some "men in uniform have honor" bullshit or something?

Personally, I already consider him an illegitimate president because he wouldn't be here if the Electoral College had actually done its job the one time it mattered. He shouldn't have even made it past the primaries. He shouldn't have made it past "grab 'em by the pussy".

OP, prepare to start hearing the term 'margin of error' when it gets to post-election time.

Quote
What you need to be worried about is all the armed nutjob douchebags in his cult/base and what those crazy morons will do if he convinces them it's actually the Democrats who have finally ended democracy by rigging the election
NeoGAF.com told me this was going to happen last time, and that denying the election was impossible to steal was treason.

He even got a heir(legitimacy still TBD)  to his throne. He has been plotting this since adopting Dan I. in 2014, the very same year he started the Gamergate insurrection.

The whole incel angle apparently took concrete form when bits of the script allegedly leaked, as far as I can tell though I think it was already primed by then. It owes a lot to the context, I think. The combo of "aggrieved white male" + "mass market movie" + "economic anxiety portrayal" + "from the point of view of a villain" was taken as red flags and it snowballed from there.

It wouldn't have been as big as a deal 5 years ago.

The possibility of a second term always brings out the crazies. Back when Bush was running in 2004, it was openly discussed how him winning was going to insure an Iranian war (and a military draft) and Roe v Wade would definitely be turned over.

'Hot-take' culture fueled by Twitter. Everyone has to get out ahead of something and put out their shitty take, usually informed by their political bent, before they actually experience it.  Then it becomes "a debate" where idiots take sides.

Worst thing is, he looks and acts perfectly normal. If I hadn't overheard his conversation earlier, I wouldn't even know he was an incel. Crafty bastard took his wife with him as cover, I hope she's safe.

What did Joker do to trigger American critics so much lol. Never seen such a reaction from a normally pro-art crowd. You'd think this stuff was written by the Moral Majority of the 80s.

Can someone explain?

it's completely based on the misconception that 10 years ago dark knight shooter said "I'm the joker baybee" and was supposedly dressed as him when all he had was orange dyed hair and had been planning the shooting for months or years independent of any batman movie

I do think it's hilarious that no one gave a shit about Leto's joker inspiring anything  :lol

There were stories going around pre-release about how Leto was Method Acting™ and doing all kinds of crazy stuff that made the cast and crew scared, but anyone with a brain could see it was just blatant PR.

Desperate to manufacture controversy and generate clicks, then backpedaling when they missed the mark.

The thought that in a universe that's 13.8 billion years old, two sufficiently advanced species evolved at the same time at locations sufficiently close together to allow them to travel between their respective solar systems is absurd.

What about the thought that in this 13.8b y/o universe a species evolved a hole we can pork?
Sorry, are you the guy everyone calls transphobic, or the one everyone calls a paedophile? I can't keep track of the Bore's prominent members™.

I see my reputation has preceded me  :pitbull

I'm the guy everyone ironically calls transphobic despite being the most trans-positive person alive to date

claiming to be more trans positive than norm macdonald  :foodcourt

i didn't actually think critics would let joker show them their asses like it has.

genuinely being punished for having some social relevance and being even the slightest bit challenging, while disneyworld slop that leaves the audience with nothing more to ponder that which character's funkopop they'll buy gets plaudits all round.

They're trying to say that ONE popular Anti-Capitalist stance is Anti-Semitic (GEORGE SOROS!!!!), not that all Anti-Capitalism is always Anti-Semitic.

They're wrong, of course. Anti-Semitism exists by itself and doesn't have anything to do with Anti-Capitalism, they're just trying to make the woke class-warfare plot points of Joker fit into the right-wing ideology narrative.

I think we Should update the site to have Free Hong Kong Banner on the Site to show solidarity with people who are being silenced by Corporations more interested in making China happy than Human Rights.

...But we'll continue to buy products from said corporations.  :brain
