either to keep the suspense up (like the mouse in the RE2 first trailer) or you can choose to play in FP? there's a mod for it in RE2 on PC, so it could be done.

Totally forgot this was yesterday.

I was so consumed in the SpaceX launch (only to end up being rescheduled lol). Guess I should watch it here sooner or later. I go back and forth whether I want to get this at launch or not... mixed feelings... Maybe watching this will help determine.

I actually watched it live, as i was working.
They didn't show anything new; i mean they showed new footage, but it's basically more of what we already saw, Ellie sneaking around for 10 minutes killing people in a rainy overgrown urban area.
The only new thing is they switched around pushing boxes and ladders with ropes you can climb, and that clickers/zombies and NPCs can finally interact/fight and be in the same area.

The game looks very good, animations especially, but it was very much pointless as a State of Play in itself.

I assume the AI interactions (since there are multiple human factions) will be more advanced, but in any case, nothing really of note in the grand scheme of things.

My guess is that they'll have a few, separate VR missions, kinda like Ace Combat 7... Still, everything will look and run at potato levels.

Abzu was alright. Like JOURNEY but underwater and no companions.

I thought it was playable in VR, but apparently not on PSVR.

I was already prepped to pay $70 for it anyways, just figured it would be cool to save $10 for a burrito and a beer.
