BOUGHT ME MO' STUFF. eBay sales were pretty much a success and funded pre-orders and recent pick-ups. Sold the last SNES game I had left last night for $185!

All that's left is Bubble Symphony for Saturn. I never did sell Gryphon Knight Epic for PS4 (which has been listed for anywhere from $300-$500) and just took it down for now after someone in the UK put it up for $250. Then I got inquires asking if it was still for sale when the listing disappeared, lol. Might try again later. I had it cheaper than other sellers until that UK one popped up and nobody bit.

Got the Skullgirls LP soundtrack and controller sticker sheet from Skybound Games. Bonus part of the Switch game, which got delayed until December, but to make up for it they gave out digital codes for free...which I forgot about and bought off the eShop anyway.

What's the experience like if you say; hook up a PS4? Or play a game that doesn't support Ultrawide?

It's either going to stretch the screen and look like garbage or just run with borders on the sides. Am assuming that all monitors nowadays have proper aspect ratio options.

It can be annoying when some PC games don't support 21:9 (even if it's just with borders). It's only been a few titles for me, but having to run the games in a bordered window at a lower res sucks- doing 1920x1080 this way on my 2560x1080 monitor makes the image get covered by the taskbar, lol. Guess I can try hiding it next time.

I've actually unwrapped it and launched it but I've been so exhausted this week that I haven't played more than 5 minutes into it. It was nice to put a game into my PS4 and not wait on patches, or have to delete shit first.

it'll just play with borders on the side for a console and most pc stuff, but pc is pretty good about support. there's some weird cases like fighting games or overwatch, which has "ultrawide support" but its just the widescreen view zoomed in so you have less fov.

on a side note, played a bunch of quake 3 last weekend in ultrawide and it was

It was $47 and change on Amazon for the "awakening" edition, which comes with some paper dolls or something.

I played a few hours over the weekend. If you liked the systems of The Legend of Legacy but felt that you couldn't get into it because of the lack of story and difficulty then good news! This game takes a lot of the systems from that, adds a couple of things, and a story and dungeons. It's definitely a game for JRPG traditionalists who are willing to learn a system that is slightly more complex than your average FF/DQ/Tales game.

Some Switch limited edition games I got this month:

-ESP Ra.De Psi
-Ninja JaJamaru Collection (Utage Set LE)
-Rockman & Rockman X 5 In 1 Special Box
-Samurai Spirits Limited Pack Game Pouch Set

The Rockman set is the only way to get a physical version of Rockman Classics Collection 2 (Mega Man Legacy Collection 2) on Switch, because Capcom gonna Capcom- this seems to be a trend. Placeholders for Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 cart releases popped up on Play-Asia and they are releasing a physical Japanese version of Devil May Cry HD Collection on Switch next year, which will only have DMC1 on the cart. Get the feeling DMC2 and DMC3 will follow later on.

The 'NeoGeo Freak' mini-mook that comes with Samurai Spirits has some interesting stuff inside. They don't just sell games in AES-style cases- there's an ad for t-shirts you can buy that also come in classic AES boxes, lol.

Jajamaru is a regular game release in Japan, but the Utage Set LE was a crazy limited edition release from Dispatch games with 200 copies available, IIRC.

The creator of Hi-Score Girl did the character art for the (new?) character they added:

The three Samurai Shodown 2019s are PS4, Switch, and then the Euro Switch version because it came with a physical copy of the NeoGeo Pocket Color Samurai Shodown! 2 port. This kind of stuff is always going to sucker me in.

In: LG 27GL850-B 27" Ultragear QHD Nano IPS Monitor

Will be using this for both my PC and consoles since I need the space- going to use my 34" 2560x1080 LG monitor for work. The smaller size frees up enough desk space for me to move some more stuff onto it and also make use of the space where the TV used to be. Have read that 1440P monitors don't play well with consoles, but ordered an mClassic, which is supposed to fix that.

This is the first 2K monitor I've owned and IT NICE. Huge leap in image quality.

The mClassic works great with 1440P and is absolutely worth picking up if you want to use consoles on a 2560x1440 screen! Switch in particular looks fantastic!
