It's pretty depressing with the school year coming to an end...we had a farewell party for the seniors this week and it was pretty emotional saying goodbye to all those kids, as the next time (and probably last time) I'll see them will be at graduation.

Other than that, I've been playing Tales of Phantasia on GBA and Tales of the Abyss on PS2.

Tomorrow I'm going out to Asakusa with some co-workers, should be fun!

Actually, a few days ago some students came up to me and said they saw me at a shopping center with a couple of foreign girls. I was clueless as to what they meant for a couple of moments till I realized the incident they were talking about had occurred like three months ago. The kids can be pretty stalkerish.

It's a little amusing as most of the time when I was in HS and saw a teacher outside of school I'd do my best to hide or walk in another direction so I don't have to talk to them, but a lot of the time I'll be out and someone will shout my name from across the street or tap my shoulder at the supermarket and it'll be a student. The kids are very friendly, which is nice. But sometimes I haven't shaved in three days and I'm dressed really shabbily and I don't really want any students to see me...

I work two schools, and the students in the one I'm at right now have stopped coming to school (they're third years) because they're graduating in a couple of weeks, so I'm sort of on break there.

I'm still teaching at the other school, as well as writing the final exam.

I wouldn't label the kids as being "HOT 4 TEACHER"...I'm not sp0rk, who apparently has students lusting after him...I'm more like a big brother or mascot.

It's all wish fulfillment on the part of the filmmakers. A couple of years back a teacher groped one of the kids in my school, he ended up getting suspended for a year and then moved to an all-boys' school while having to go through psychological evaluation and counseling.

The story (as it was told to me by the previous Assistant Language Teacher 'cuz I wasn't around for the scandal) - the girl complained to a female teacher, the female teacher told her to shut up about it (what an awesome teacher), the girl then posted about it on her blog on the internets, word then got around to the administration, and there was a huge uproar on the part of the PTA, the principal, vice-principal, et al. The principal tried to get the teacher fired but the Board of Education decided on only giving the guy a suspension.

And Himuro, the only way I'll watch NOTES ON A SCANDAL is if there's some hot lesbian sex scene between Cate Blanchett and Judi Dench.

And finally, Shenmue is an adventure game! Adventure games have been nothing more than over glorified interactive cutscenes since the 1980's! It's been the most story based genre for the longest time!

Hi, hello.

Some you might remember me from GAF, where I was forcibly given the slave name "HyperZone<3". My true name is HyperZoneWasAwesome, because, it was.

I'm big into 2D action games, adventure games (more Lucasarts then Zelda), and I really like gigantic monster films, if there's a sight more entertaining then watching Godzilla tear up a city and many hapless soldiers, I've yet to see it. I've been lurking here for some time now and just decided it was time to wheigh in on certain things now and then.

I'm not as full of venom and hate as many of you, so you can expect me to be somewhat civil in future discussions, which of course will make me an easy target for ridicule. Meh.

Oh, and I really, really, really like Diet Soda. Man, that stuff is the best.
