Nice nice nice. Do try to keep in mind to only embed one video per post, just because of the slow loading that happens on mobile once these pages get filled with more posts. Not the end of the world. It's worth it though.
I wanted to share the VGM podcasts that I enjoy from time to time or on the regular:
The Legacy Music Hour - Strictly an 8 and 16-bit affair. The vibe and back and forth between the hosts might be hit and miss. I dig it. If you don't, most episodes currently are just mixtapes of old episodes that forego any talking by the hosts.
Super Marcato Bros. VGM Podcast - 2 brothers who have a background in music and are composers themselves. They play snippets of tracks and discuss them. Sometimes to a more music theory crowd, but I think it's still enjoyable to the layman music fan.
Level with Emily Reese - Emily Reese interviews game composers. She's fantastic. Emphasis on western composers due to language barrier I suppose.
Pixel Beat - Just a mixtape of a specific topic or game. I actually love what this one guy does.
Sound of Play - The music side of the Cane and Rinse podcast. Usually very British. Sometimes there are interesting guests from inside the industry. Typically about 9 or so tracks are played with quite a bit of talking in between setting up the track or discussing something about it. I must admit that usually I am not too keen on the discussion here like I am in these other podcasts. I find that it goes on too long usually without anything too interesting being said. Every tenth episode focuses on a specific theme or game/series. There's some mixtape episodes thrown in for good measure sometimes.
